Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method of predicting resource availability in a given time period by leveraging profile data associated with one or more users. The method includes analyzing historical use of a resource by the one or more users based on information included in records respectively associated with each user of the one or more of users. The method includes determining, based on the analysis, that one or more factors are likely predictors of use of the resource by the one or more users. The method includes predicting that there is a statistical likelihood that the one or more users will use the resource during a period of time, responsive to the determining of the one or more factors. The method includes sending, to a venue, a notification that indicates likely use of the resource by the at least one user during the given time period.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for monitoring and managing inventory of electronic devices having wireless communication capabilities are presented. Such electronic devices may include vaporization devices configured to communicate wirelessly with external devices for authorization. To monitor and manage inventory of the electronic devices, the electronic devices are configured to send device status messages via wireless communication to wireless connection devices, which in turn send inventory messages to a remote inventory server via a communication network. Based upon such inventory messages, the remote inventory server monitors inventory location and levels at retail locations. Inventory levels may be adjusted according to inventory distribution plans based upon such inventory information. In some embodiments, updates may be provided to electronic devices while in inventory by communication via the wireless connection devices.

Abstract: A system for keeping track of an employee's attendance is described that allows the employee to be creative which also helps morale. An employee sets up an employee account and provides identification. A full body image is taken of the employee that is analyzed. Facial features may also be analyzed and stored. The employee then can create his/her own unique gesture which is captured and stored as a unique clock in gesture. He/she may also set up passwords and/or security questions if the gesture is not recognized. The employee then performs the unique clock in gesture to notify the system when he/she is beginning or leaving work. During clock in, the system checks human resource rules, accumulated work hours and characteristics of the employee's employment and clocks in the employee if it determines that the employee meets the rules and is allowed to clock in and work additional hours.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods and systems for selling products across sales channels in a single swipe transaction. In one aspect a method for purchasing products is disclosed. The method includes identifying a first product to be purchased from a first sales channel, determining whether the first product is available from the first sales channel, in response to determining that the first product is not available from the first sales channel, determining whether the first product is available from a second sales channel, in response to determining that the first product is available from the second sales channel, adding the first product from the second sales channel to the transaction, and selling the first product from the second sales channel, wherein the transaction is completed with a single tender.

Abstract: An ordering system includes mobile terminals and a backend server. Each terminal generates changes for one or more orders in a restaurant, and queues the changes in queues for the one or more orders, and transmits the changes, from oldest to youngest, when operably connected to a network. The mobile terminals may communicate over both a Wi-Fi network and a White-Fi network. When programmed in a Wi-Fi mode, the mobile terminals communicate only over the Wi-Fi network, and when programmed in a White-Fi mode, the mobile terminals communicate only over the White-Fi network. The backend server is coupled to the mobile terminals via the network, and receives the changes, and is transmits the changes to all of the mobile terminals. The backend server a band assignment map that indicates whether each of the mobile terminals is programmed to communicate within the restaurant in the Wi-Fi mode or the White-Fi mode.

Abstract: An out-of-stock detection system notifies store management that a product is out of stock. The system captures images of a shelf and determines the position product labels thereon. For each product label, a bounding box is generated based on the position of each product label on the shelf. The system then identifies a product for each product label based on information within each product label and, for each product label, stores a product identified for each bounding box. Accordingly, the system performs an out-of-stock detection process that includes capturing additional image data of the shelf periodically that includes each bounding box, providing a portion of the additional image data for each bounding box to a model trained to determine whether the bounding box contains products, sending a notification for a product determined to be out of stock to a store client device based on output from the model.

Abstract: A pervasive advisor for major purchases and other expenditures may detect that a customer is contemplating a major purchase (e.g., through active listening). The advisor may assist the customer with the timing and manner of making the purchase in a way that is financially sensible in view of the customer's financial situation. A customer may be provided with dynamically-updated information in response to recent actions that may affect an approved loan amount and/or interest rate. Underwriting of a loan may be triggered based on the geo-location of the user. Financial advice may be provided to customers to help them meet their goals using information obtained from third party sources, such as purchase options based on particular goals. The pervasive advisor may thus intervene to assist with budgeting, financing, and timing of major expenditures based on the customer's location and on the customer's unique and changing circumstances.

A method for managing inventory comprises receiving, from a mobile device associated with a non-manager, a defect quantity associated with a fresh item, wherein the defect quantity is determined by an acceptability standard retrieved from a database, and storing an inspection task for validating the fresh item by at least one manager if the defect quantity is over a threshold.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for partitioned private interconnects to provider networks are described. At least a portion of available bandwidth of a private physical interconnect between a provider network and a connectivity intermediary's network is designated as the bandwidth limit of an interconnect partition set up on behalf of a customer at the request of the intermediary. The intermediary's network comprises one or more devices to which at least one of the customer's devices is connected. Access to one or more resources of the provider network via the interconnect is enabled. Traffic monitoring results associated with the interconnect are used to enforce the designated bandwidth limit of the partition.

Abstract: A server apparatus allows wait-listed customers to register information for the purposes of line placement and subsequent verification upon return. A customer can register a face image and contact information with a registration module of the server apparatus. When the next customer is called, a paging module of the server apparatus notifies the customer. An identification module of the server apparatus can take a second image of the person who responded to the call for comparison with the original image. Based on the result obtained from the identification module, a determination module of the server apparatus can verify the identity of the responding person. The server apparatus then provides table guide information to the verified customer.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for executing a computer process for processing a transaction. The system comprises a point-of-sale (POS) terminal, and an application support terminal (AST). The POS terminal comprises a POS processor and a POS memory device in communication with the POS processor and storing POS program instructions thereon. The POS processor is operative with the POS program instructions to receive transaction information comprising payment vehicle credentials of a payment vehicle for use in processing the transaction, and transaction details defining the transaction. The POS processor is further operative to determine, based on the transaction information, that the POS terminal cannot process the transaction, send the transaction information to the AST, the AST comprising an AST processor, and an AST memory device in communication with the AST processor and storing an application capable of processing the transaction using the payment vehicle credentials, and AST program instructions thereon.

Abstract: Systems and methods of the invention relate to managing an inventory of items within a storage container. A storage container can house one or more items for distribution among one or more users such as, for instance, employees. The storage container discussed herein provides authentication of a user, tracking of the inventory each user removes or returns, video/image capture of user during access of the storage container, wireless tracking of items housed within the storage container, among others.

Abstract: For managing a biometric punch-in system, a method captures training biometrics for a plurality of users. The method further trains a biometric algorithm with the training biometrics. The method presents a threshold user interface to an administrator that compares one or more identification biometrics that do not satisfy a match threshold for the plurality of users and a match threshold control for adjusting the match threshold. The method further adjusts the match threshold in response to the match threshold control. The method determines a match level for the identification biometric based on the biometric algorithm. In response to the match level not satisfying the match threshold, the method presents an attendance user interface including punch-in/punch-out times, corresponding identification biometrics and match levels, and attendance information for the first user, wherein suspect identification biometrics are highlighted.
