  • Patent number: 11671397
Abstract: A system for collecting and indexing data by associating a unique identifier (generated by and provided from an external computer system) with a data file. The data file is acquired from a user operated computer system. The system comprising a series of computers provided in signal communication with one another via a network. The data file could include data collected by a form provided by a website hosted by a web server. Additional data collected from other sources (stored as a record), such as a computer system operated by an agent, would be associated with the collected data file by an inquiry management company. The collected data and associated records are forwarded to a computer system that tracks online users/visitors. The process can marry computer collected data (other than the data file) about website activity with activities independent of the website.

  • Patent number: 11609737
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for synchronizing audio signals captured by multiple independent devices during an audio event are described. Multiple recording devices, e.g. several smartphones, record the audio event. A computer system receives audio signals from the devices. The system determines a first delay between two audio signals based on cross-correlation of waveforms of the two audio signals. Subsequently, the system detects attacks that are present in each audio signal by computing the derivative of a respective envelope for each audio signal. The system determines a second delay between the two audio signals based on cross-correlation of attacks of the two audio signals. The system synchronizes the audio signals using the second delay upon determining that using the second delay improves sound quality over using the first delay.

  • Patent number: 11601613
Abstract: An online system customizes video conversations between users of the online system. During a video conversation, the online system presents a composite view to the participating users. The composite view may include visual representations of the users, a background graphic, or other types of graphics such as masks and props that the users can wear or interact with in the environment of the video conversation. The visual representations may be generated based on a live video feed of the users or include avatars of the users. The online system can determine the graphics based on information about the users. For instance, the online system determines a background graphic showing a location that the users have each visited. Upon viewing the background graphic, the users may be encouraged to interact with the background graphic or other graphics included in the composite view, which can promote an engaging video conversation experience.

  • Patent number: 11563855
Abstract: A system controls the audio focus for a user in a virtual conference call. The system retrieves sound parameters associated with participants in the virtual conference call with the user from a user profile of the user. The sound parameters define volume adjustments to be applied to audio data received from the participants for generating an audio mix customized to the user. The system receives the audio data from client devices of the participants, and for each of the participants, adjusts the audio data of the participant using the associated sound parameter of the participant. The system adds the adjusted audio data of the participants to the audio mix for the user and provides the audio mix to a client device of the user.

  • Patent number: 11528451
Abstract: A method of capturing data for use in a video conference includes capturing data of a first party at a first location using an array of one or more video cameras and/or one or more sensors. The three-dimensional position(s) of one or more features represented in the data captured by the video camera(s) and/or sensor(s) are determined. A virtual camera positioned at a three-dimensional virtual camera position is defined. The three-dimensional position(s) determined for the feature(s) are transformed into a common coordinate system to form a single view of the feature(s) as appearing to have been captured from the virtual camera. The video image and/or sensor data of the feature(s) viewed from the perspective of the virtual camera and/or data representative of the transformed three-dimensional position(s) of the feature(s) are then transmitted or stored.
