Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for a dynamic network identification to facilitate a selection of a desired audio. A premises (e.g., a public bar) may have a plurality of display devices (e.g., television screens) outputting videos associated with a plurality of content items (e.g., television programs). A computing device may assign an audio data of each of the content items to be transmitted over a separate wireless network. A user may be able to listen to the audio of a desired content item by causing a user device to join a wireless network assigned to transmit an audio data of the desired content item. The wireless network may be reused to transmit a different audio data. A network identifier of the wireless network may be renamed to indicate the different audio data. The network identifier may be based on metadata associated with a content item.

  • Patent number: 11418757
Abstract: Video communications of residents of a controlled-environment facility are monitored to detect instances of inappropriate behavior within the video, such as nudity. Residents may participate in live video visitation sessions with non-residents. Video recordings are generated for each video feed of the live video visitation. During the live video visitation, indications of inappropriate behavior displayed in the live video are detected. If indications of inappropriate behavior are detected in the live video, the recorded video is annotated to specify the locations of the detected indications in the recording. Upon completion of the video visitation session, post-processing of the recorded video detects additional indications of inappropriate behavior. The additional indications may be detected at proximal locations to the annotations and may be detected based on sampling frames of the recording to detect changes in the occurrence of pixels having a skin tone color.

  • Patent number: 11394925
Abstract: A system provides automated transitions between presenters of a communication session. During a meeting, a system can provide a user interface that includes a primary presenter region configured to display a rendering of a presenter and the presenter's shared content. The user interface can also provide an audience region, which may include a number of individual video streams of audience members arranged in virtual environment. When the system determines that an individual audience member raises their hand, the system generates a graphical notification indicating that the person raised their hand. The system can also automatically add that individual audience member to a presenter queue. When the first presenter completes their presentation, the system can automatically transition the user listed in the presenter queue to the primary presenter region or a secondary presenter region. The system can also automatically change permissions for users that initiate a transition to a presenter role.

  • Patent number: 11374991
Abstract: Technologies for audiovisual communication include an audiovisual server and a number of audiovisual client devices, including a presenter device and a number of audience devices. Each audience device captures an audiovisual stream and transmits the audiovisual stream to the audiovisual server. Each audience device also captures sensor input data such as eye tracking data or facial expression data and transmits abstracted sensor input data to the audiovisual server. The abstracted sensor input data may be based on the captured audiovisual stream. The audiovisual server determines an interestingness rating associated with each audience device based on the sensor input data, and selects one or more audiovisual streams based on the interestingness ratings. The audiovisual server transmits the selected audiovisual streams to the presenter device. The audiovisual server may update the interestingness rating algorithm based on feedback from the presenter device or the audience devices.

  • Patent number: 11368585
Abstract: A tool for providing a secure communication channel during three-way communications. The tool initiates a three-way communication from a user device, wherein the three-way communication is a connection between a user, a third-party interpreter, and a service provider. The tool enables a passthrough function of a secured switch for transmitting non-privileged data during the three-way communication. The tool determines whether privileged data is to be transmitted during the three-way communication. Responsive to a determination that privileged data is to be transmitted during the three-way communication, the tool mutes an audio communication component. The tool activates a bypass function of the secured switch for transmitting the privileged data on an alternate audio communication component.
