Abstract: An eyelash plate assembly for use with eyelash application is provided. The assembly comprises a lash plate and a lash tile, the tile having been prepared with the eyelashes to be applied. The assembly can further include a means for supporting and positioning the plate near the customer's face for application. This allows for the stylist to apply the eyelashes in an efficient and safe manner.

Abstract: An automatic nail clipping device including a blade plate replaceably secured within a blade plate holder frame within a covering shell, an electronic motor driving a shaft which in turn rotates an extending cam element. The extending cam element engaging an oblong opening on a backside of the blade plate holder frame, raising and dropping the entire blade plate holder frame, and causing the blade in the blade plate to clip nails in a downward movement and return the blade plate to a ready elevated position.

Abstract: A split end removal comb. This comb includes an outer shell which houses an inner shell of similar shape but smaller dimensions, and a handle, which houses an electromechanical assembly. The inner comb can slide to a lock position inside the upper part of the outer comb, whereby the hair can be stretched away from the scalp and bent into divided strands. In this position, the blades mounted on the teeth of the inner comb, which can be powered by a motor, can be activated through a shaft running through the perpendicular axis of the device thereby trimming the tips of the hair, as it is being combed by the user. During operation, the hair goes through channels created by the multi-planar arrays of a plurality of teeth, ridges, and blades arranged along various angles and distances. This results in a safe and easy trimming of split ends.

Abstract: An artificial hair fastening tool is provided which enables efficient operations of putting a human hair into a loop of an artificial hair and making a knot in the human hair for preventing the artificial hair from coming off. An artificial hair fastening method for fastening an artificial hair to a human hair efficiently and without imposing strain on the human hair is also provided. The artificial hair fastening tool includes: a front end portion having a spindle shape with a groove on a circumferential surface along a longitudinal direction and having a tip end on one end; and a rear end portion having a rod-like shape and extending from the front end portion toward an opposite side to the tip end.

Abstract: A hair extension, method for making a hair extension, and method of using a hair extension is provided that is intended to be less noticeable when worn by a wearer or not easily detectable by others if or when exposed. In one embodiment, a plurality of hairs are attached to a second substrate such that the hair extension is less noticeable while in use. In one example, a weft may be attached to the second substrate to add additional volume and/or length of hair and may be covered by a plurality of hairs extending from the second substrate. In another example, a portion of the hairs attached to the second substrate may be folded over a distal edge of the second substrate to make the hair extension less noticeable. Alternatively, a portion of the hairs attached to the second substrate may be crocheted through a wearer's anchor braid and folded over the hair extension to make the hair extension less noticeable.

Abstract: A headband is provided that includes an elastic outside and an inside lining. A top portion of the elastic outside forms the outside of the headband and has an elasticity. A bottom portion of the inside lining forms the inside of the headband and has an elasticity. Both the elastic outside and the inside lining are connected to make the headband a 360-degree elastic headband. At least the bottom portion of the inside lining includes a velvet material that forms a gripping portion. The elastic outside and the inside lining provide an elastic headband.

Abstract: An artificial lash extension system includes lash extensions designed for an application under a natural lash. First lash extensions designed for an application at an underside of upper natural lashes each include first artificial hairs and a first base from which the first artificial hairs protrude, wherein the first base includes a top side designed to attach to the underside of the upper natural lashes. Second lash extensions designed for an application under the first plurality of lashes each include second artificial hairs, and a second base from which the second artificial hairs protrude, wherein the second base includes a top side designed to attach to at least part of a bottom side of one or more of the first lash extensions.

Abstract: The invention can be used by persons that use tape-in style hair extensions. The invention includes a flat panel with several horizontal entry points aligned in rows. Both sides of the panel are utilized. A tape-in style hair extension is fed into the panel through a horizontal entry point from one side and comes through on the other side. The hair is then fastened by the clip/fastener on the opposite side just above the horizontal entry point. Vertically, each set of horizontal entry points, coupled with a clip/fastener on the opposite side, is also spaced apart leaving room for the user to have workspace for each individual hair extension. Once the hair extension is secured by the clip/fastener, the user can then remove the old tape-tab and prepare the tape-in style hair extension for reuse by adhering a new tape tab to each extension.

Abstract: A system for the application of mascara. The system has a container and an applicator wand. The applicator wand has a handle that extends along a central axis. A wand shaft extends from the handle and hold a brush head. The brush head includes a brush held in an articulable mount. The articulable mount orients the brush in a position where the central axis of the handle intersects the center line of the brush at a point between the ends of the brush. The brush is biased to a first angle of inclination. The articulable mount provides a hinge joint between the brush and the wand shaft. The hinge joint enables the brush to temporarily rotate about the hinge joint away from its first angle of inclination and into a second angle of inclination to pass into or out of the access opening of the container.

Abstract: A dental flosser having a handle, a dental floss support mounted to the handle and having first and second projections, each projection defining a tip, a floss dispensing spool mounted to the handle, and a floss collecting spool mounted to the handle. The single parting member is configured to impart a part in the subject's hair while mounting the hair band member to the subject's head. The single parting member may be centrally located on the hair band member to provide a central part or be offset to provide a side part.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a dental flosser includes a handle and a housing coupled to the handle. The housing includes a chamber for rotatably receiving a spool having first top and bottom surfaces and a side surface and having a supply of floss wound about the side surface, the supply of floss having second top and bottom surfaces. The housing further includes a floss orifice for directing at least a portion of the supply of floss therethrough. The dental flosser also includes an actuator including at least one contact surface configured to frictionally engage at least one of the first top surface, the first bottom surface, the second top surface, or the second bottom surface. The actuator further includes a biasing member for biasing the at least one contact surface relative to the spool.
