Abstract: A device and a method for displaying content on a display device involve generating a graphical user interface including a toolbar in response to a request to display content. The toolbar is displayed simultaneously with the content on a display screen of the display device, with at least two sides of the toolbar are separated from edges of the display screen. The toolbar is partially transparent and brought onto display using an animation, separately from display of the content.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application disclose a method for controlling a mouse pointer to automatically follow a cursor. During operation, the system detects whether the cursor is in a currently active window displayed on a screen of a computing device. In response to detecting that the cursor is in the currently active window, the system obtains coordinates of the cursor. The system then calculates follow coordinates according to the coordinates of the cursor and a predetermined distance value. The system subsequently sets coordinates of the mouse pointer to the follow coordinates.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide thermostat controls having improved tactile feedback. According to one embodiment, a thermostat includes a bottom member, a switch, a top member, and a motion guiding member or assembly that operationally couples the top member with the bottom member so that the top member is inwardly pressable by a user relative to the bottom member to allow the thermostat to receive input from the user by contacting the switch with a component of the top member or the bottom member. The motion guiding member or assembly contacts the top member near its outer periphery to control the inward motion of the top member relative to the bottom member to provide the improved tactile feedback.

Abstract: A digital podium apparatus includes: a frame; an extended handle disposed on the digital podium frame with which change of direction of movement is actuated, wherein a user can change direction by rotating the handle; a plurality of computer tablets disposed on the digital podium frame in a multi-tablet podium top; a five-wheel base configured to move the digital podium; a framework having four pedals, wherein the two front pedals are configured to move the podium forward and the two back pedals are configured to move the podium backward; and a divider to prevent the pressure of the standing person, so that to move forward a user uses toes simultaneously by standing on the divider; and wherein the digital podium is configured to project and relay teaching material through a multi-tablet podium into classroom projectors or mini laser projector, and into a dual tablet notebook of each child in classroom.

Abstract: A connected state is re-established between a mobile device and a playback device based on a previously established connected state with the mobile device. A message may be received via the playback device which comprises a modification to a playlist made before re-establishing the connected state with the mobile device. One or more queued media items in a playback queue may be modified based on the modification to the playlist. The playback device, for example, may then play from the modified playback queue.

Abstract: A system and method for facilitating automatically adjusting a user interface display screen or portion thereof. An example method includes determining context information associated with data, wherein the data is maintained in accordance with a data model; generating a signal when the context information changes; and employing the signal to automatically configure one or more characteristics of a user interface architecture, resulting in an adjusted user interface architecture. The context information may include information specifying one or more attributes relating to the data model. Generating may further include analyzing the one or more attributes to determine a modification to be made to the user interface architecture and then rendering a user interface display screen based on a modified user interface architecture.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to systems and methods providing a flip-though format for viewing notification of messages and related items on devices, for example personal mobile devices such as smart phones. According to an embodiment, an unread item most recently received is shown in full screen on the mobile device. While the user is viewing this item, the device will automatically retrieve and load into a cache memory, the next most recently received item. When the user is done viewing the item most recently received, the user can swipe a finger across the touch screen to trigger a page flipping animation and display of the next most recently received item. Embodiments avoid the user having to click back and forth between a list of notifications/links and corresponding notification items.

Abstract: A link curvature processing module enables a user with the ability to control the curvature of links in a node-link diagram. As a node-link diagram is displayed to a user, the user may interact with the diagram and adjust the curvature of one or more links in the diagram to improve the readability of the diagram. The user's modification to the curvature of a link alters the shape of the link so that the position of the nodes connected to the link does not change. By providing the user with such control, the user is able to tailor the visual display of the links to the user's preference.
