  • Patent number: 10824971
Abstract: A method and system may automatically detect failures and schedule repairs for home equipment in a smart home environment when the property owner is away from the property. A smart home controller may receive sensor data from each of several pieces of smart home equipment to detect whether any failures have occurred. If the smart home controller detects a failure in one of the pieces of smart home equipment based on the sensor data, the smart home controller may determine that a first piece of smart home equipment needs to be repaired based on a collective analysis of first and second sets of sensor data from the first piece of smart home equipment and a second piece of smart home equipment, respectively. Then the smart home controller may provide a control signal to the first piece of smart home equipment to shut down or limit operation.

  • Patent number: 10817914
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein can leverage dynamic data, fields and implied information from online media (e.g., web sites, mobile apps and other forms of online media) to create a universal variable map and automatically generate deep-linked ads utilizing the universal variable map, linking any arbitrary online media to any other arbitrary online media. The automatically generated deep-linked ads can be inserted into any ad server and served out from there in real-time. A deep-linked ad thus presented to a user can take the user from a starting page on one site or application where the ad is displayed directly to a resulting page such as a checkout page on another site or mobile application, with pertinent information already pre-populated, and action already initiated for the user.

  • Patent number: 10713683
Abstract: Online experimentation has been widely used to evaluate an effect of a new feature of an online product on user engagement. One challenge is that an existence of outliers can often complicate the analysis of such experimental results. Thus, a procedure is provided herein to detect and remove outliers from experimental results. The procedure can use statistical tests based on parametric distributions of sample maximum or minimum. These tests can be performed using an inward testing procedure to identify multiple outliers. Finally, these filtered test results can be used to control delivery of a new feature of an online product.

  • Patent number: 10692030
Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatuses, and systems for providing visualizations of workflows. Data associated with successes and failures of individual components of workflows can be collected and aggregated to provide an overview of the operation of workflows, as well as allowing a software developer to troubleshoot operations of the workflow. Status indications of steps can be visualized in a graphical user interface (GUI), for example, and faults can be identified and presented in the GUI. By aggregating workflow data across hundreds, thousands, or even millions of workflows, a user can quickly determine the overall operations of the workflow, as well as areas of the workflow that may need improvement.
