Abstract: A hair styling device comprising two jaws, at least one jaw (1) of which having a resiliently mounted heating plate (16) that is allowed to move in such a way, that when the hair styling device is fully closed, both a first maximal gap at a proximal end of the heating plate (16) between the heating plate (16) and a mating element of the other jaw in the absence of a detachable holder (5) with a hair treatment agent, and a second maximal gap at the proximal end of the heating plate (16) between the detachable holder (5) and the mating element of the other jaw in the presence of the detachable holder (5), are within a range of about 1 mm-1.5 mm.

Abstract: A hygienic cosmetic applicator system comprising an instrument-like gripping body (2) that has a holder on at least one end to releasably grip single use applicator (12) tips. The gripping body (2) has a handle (4) for grasping with the fingers, a tapered shaft (6) emerging from at least one end, and a apertured holder that is terminally formed onto or into a shafts (6) tapered end. A holder may comprise a ringlet (8) with a centrally formed aperture (10) that is formed onto the shafts (6) tapered end, or alternatively, a suitably deep aperture (10) that is formed into the shafts (6) tapered end. By contrast, an applicator (12) has a shaft-like inserting member (14) to frictionally plug into an aperture (10) and furthermore, a terminally formed base (6) on its non-inserting end for holding an applicating member therein or thereon.

Abstract: A multipurpose filament dispensing device serves the dual purpose of dispensing a filament, such as dental floss, while simultaneously forming a cap on a container of a topical composition. The device can either function as a standalone dispenser for storing and dispensing the filament, or serve as a cap for the container while simultaneously storing and dispensing the filament. The filament is rotatably extracted from an internal spool. The device dispenses a desired amount of filament from the spool, extending the filament from a raised outlet to a depressed cutting member. The downward slope of the filament facilitates grasping and manipulating of the filament. After extracting a desired unit length of the filament, the filament may be cut at a unit length with a sharp edge on the cutting member. The device forms a detachable cap over a container of topical composition, such as lip balm.

Abstract: A cosmetics storage assembly is provided. The cosmetics storage assembly can include a compact box and a cosmetics tray disposed in the compact box. The cosmetics tray can have a plurality of wells formed therein adapted for holding cosmetics materials. The compact box can include a floor panel, a cover panel, and a plurality of side panels. The floor panel, cover panel and side panels can fold along seams therebetween to form a chamber and the cosmetics tray can be disposed within the chamber.

Abstract: A method of treating hair, a hair treatment kit for extemporaneous preparation of hair treatment compositions, a recipient for applying hair treatment compositions, and use thereof are provided. The invention provides a superior hair treatment performance such as a superior hair coloring and/or bleaching performance, particularly for providing superior root to tip treatment evenness.

Abstract: The present invention provides a hair accessory characteristic of Shore Hardness between 41 D and 60 D and made from a polymerized plastic mixture including acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resin, thermoplastic rubber (TPR), defoamer, lubricant and optical brightener. The hair accessory which is bent and deformed under effect of a tensional stress does not induce white crease marks, cracks or complete breaks and is able to rebounds and returns to initial status after releasing of the tensional stress. The hair accessory with advantages including flexibility, rebound elasticity and plasticity does not compress or hurt a user's scalp and contributes to safety use when the user takes the hair accessory to comb her hairs.

Abstract: A unique human or synthetic fiber hair extension and method are disclosed. One embodiment of the human or synthetic fiber hair extensions come packaged with double sided tape attached to both sides of the hair extension, with the weft and human or synthetic fiber hair attached between the two pieces of tape. The double sided tape is covered with a tape cover or liner on both sides of the extensions. First, the human or synthetic fiber hair extension is positioned for correct placement below the horizontal part line, the liner is removed form the bottom side of the hair extension and the human or synthetic fiber hair extension is secured by pressing into place. The second piece of double sided tape which is attached to the second side of the human or synthetic fiber hair extension and facing up has the liner removed and is then covered with a layer of the users's natural hair, which taken from the clipped area above the part.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to an applicator system and in particular, relates to an applicator system capable of moving the applicator head in an irregular motion. The applicator system is provided with a mechanism that gives the applicator an irregular motion during usage thereby resulting in better application. The applicator system of the present invention is configured to move in an irregular motion that has no obvious pattern and may be used for cosmetic and care applications such as mascara application, scrubbing of lips, cleaning of nails, etc.
