Abstract: Systems and methods for resolving a partial topology are disclosed. In one embodiment a media engine includes a topology loader module that receives a partial topology from another module associated with the media engine. The topology loader implements logic operations that convert a partial topology into a full topology, which may be returned to the media engine for presentation of the media stream(s) to a user.

Abstract: A system, apparatus and method to use private IP addresses to designate host devices or nodes in different networks for communication purposes are described. Various embodiments of the invention address the problem of a shortage of public IP addresses under IPv4 architecture. In one embodiment of the invention, dynamic NAT penetration capabilities are provided which consequently expand the capability of running peer-to-peer applications on the Internet.
Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method for managing quality of a multi protocol label switching (MPLS) label switched path (LSP), which has been previously established in a convergence network. The apparatus for managing quality of a LSP includes: LSP provisioning/releasing means for provisioning and releasing the LSP in a convergence network; and LSP quality management means for measuring the quality of the LSP on the basis of performance information received from the each node through which the LSP passes, wherein the LSP quality management means transmits alert information to the LSP provisioning/releasing means, when the measured quality of the LSP deviates from a predetermined performance threshold, so that the LSP is readjusted.

Abstract: The present invention relates to establishing a network address of a mobile terminal in a mobile communication system when the mobile terminal is handed over from one network to another. Preferably, the present invention establishes a unified interface to an upper layer of the mobile terminal for managing messages to and from at least one of a homogeneous network and a heterogeneous network, performs handover of the mobile terminal to at least one of a homogeneous network and a heterogeneous network, receives in the upper layer a request from the unified interface for establishing a network address of the mobile terminal for the at least one of a homogeneous network and a heterogeneous network for communicating data, and establishes the network address for the at least one of a homogeneous network and a heterogeneous network.
