Abstract: For forming a “wheatsheaf” bunch of flowers, a bundle of stems is twisted. For that purpose, use is made of a first and second rotatable receiving unit which keep flowers or groups of flowers separated from each other transversely to the axial direction relative to a rotation axis of the receiving unit. A multiplicity of stems are introduced in lying orientation in axial direction relative to the rotation axis into the receiving units, with a part of each bouquet component extending over a distance between the first and second rotatable receiving unit. The first receiving unit is rotated between the feeding of different bouquet components, while the second receiving unit rotates substantially along with the first receiving unit. Thereupon, a relative rotation angle between the first and second receiving unit is changed to twist the bundle of stems. After changing of the relative rotation angle, the bundle in the twisted condition is gripped and/or bound and taken out of the receiving units.

Abstract: An agricultural animal house modular flooring system is provided, the flooring being particularly suited to poultry housing due to the structure of the flooring which facilitates cleaning, minimizes build-up of manure, bacteria and pathogens, and reduces risk of injury to the poultry. A plurality of interconnecting flooring panels and a plurality of panel support beams are provided. The panels each have pluralities of side flanges and recesses and end bosses and apertures for coupling the panel to a horizontally adjacent panel. The support beams provide interlocking engagement with the panels, prevent lateral disengagement of the panels, and distribute load from the panels and flanges to lower regions of the support beams to provide a support base of optimal strength and durability. The modular design of the flooring system provides for easy installation, assembly and disassembly of the flooring system.

The lure tail is made of soft-plastic material. The lure body is removably connected with the lure body with the male connector and the female connector. The male connector is integrated with the lure tail and the female connector is integrated with the lure body. Moreover, the lure tail is molded around a stabilizing frame and at least one panel of the male connector. The male connector latches with the female connector and is easily separated so that the lure tail may be interchanged.

Abstract: An insulating wrap for a bee hive includes four rigid foam board cores having upper and lower edges. A single piece cover wraps around the lower edges of the rigid foam board cores and is stitched together along their upper edges. The stitched seam along the upper edges of the rigid foam board cores defines a standing or projecting seam. The single piece cover is stitched together along corner seams between each of the rigid foam board cores and along end seams. A closure connects the ends of the insulating wrap adjacent to the end seams. The insulating wrap wraps around the hive bodies of the bee hive so that the standing or projecting seam is adjacent to the hive lid and may act as a seal against the hive lid, or may provide a tightly controlled gap between the insulating wrap and the hive lid.

A first and second hive module each include a pair of sidewalls, a pair of end walls, an upper wall, and a lower wall defining an interior volume adapted to support a hive frame therein. Openings in the end walls allow for the introduction or removal of bees feed, and honey. The first hive module and the second hive module each include a latch and a hook disposed on each sidewall. Using the latches and hooks, the first hive module is securable to the base, and the second hive module is securable to the top of the first hive module in a stacked configuration. The system can be utilized to provide a compact apiary with transparent sidewalls that allow for user observation.

Abstract: A line attaching apparatus, system and method for attaching to a line end without the need for tying a knot. The invention further comprises a line attaching apparatus, system and method for attaching to a first line end portion to a second line end portion without the need for tying a knot. The line end portions may be captured in a collet having a line retention and a line insertion/removal state. The collet may be biased into a line retention state by a biasing force that causes the collet to close around a line, preventing the line from translating within the collet. The line insertion/removal state may be achieved by motivation of a plunger against the biasing force, allowing the collet to open so that a line moves freely within the collet opening. An exemplary, non-limiting use is the attachment of a lure or hook to a fishing line.
