Abstract: A seedling raising device includes: a cell plug for seedling raising that is formed as a single pot body; and a supporting device configured to detachably arrange and support a plurality of cell plugs, wherein the supporting device is capable of supporting the cell plug in either one of a first supporting position where the cell plug is slidably supported in a horizontal direction and a second supporting position where the cell plug is detachably supported in a top position.

Abstract: A method of controlling the growth of a plant is provided, the method including the steps of: (a) inserting a capsule containing an agent into an opening formed in a plant; and (b) closing the opening formed in the plant into which the capsule is inserted. The agent may be a chemical agent. The plant may be a woody plant, such as a woody weed or a woody cultivated plant. Also provided is a capsule containing an agent for insertion into a plant, and an apparatus for insertion of a capsule into a plant.

Abstract: A treat dispenser includes a body having an exterior surface and a recess in the body. The recess has an outlet and is defined by interior surface having first and second lips protruding into the recess. The first lip defines a first treat-holding position having a first depth relative to the outlet, and the second lip defines a second treat-holding position having a greater second depth relative to the outlet.

Abstract: An adjustable depth fishing lure including a lip and a lure body is provided. The lip is partially received in a slot of the lure body and is movable to predetermined positions relative to the lure body. The lip may include an eyelet. The lip includes a locking member and the lure body includes a plurality of teeth. The locking member is configured to engage at least one of the teeth to fix the lip relative to the lure body at one of the predetermined positions. This engagement between the locking member and the teeth provides a rigid connection that resists loading applied to the lip by the fisherman pulling on the fishing line and/or a fish biting a hook connected to the lure body.

Abstract: The present invention includes a modular aeroponic garden system for growing plants. Through circulating an atomized fluid, nutrients and air through a conduit circuit the modular aeroponic garden system provides a closed-loop aeroponic system for growing plants. The closed-loop configuration allows the user to better control the internal environmental conditions of the modular aeroponic garden system, therein facilitating improved plant growth. Modular sections of conduit and modular joints allow the user to customize the aeroponic garden system to unique spaces and grow a variable quantity of plants. In doing so, the closed-loop system reduces time spent on maintenance, cleaning and monitoring of the plants grown within the modular aeroponic garden system and the system itself while better conserving resources such as water, electricity, and nutrients than comparable open-loop systems.

Abstract: A vertical wall display system for displaying potted plants includes trays that have a base portion and a back portion disposed at an acute angle with respect to each other. The base portion of the tray defines a plurality of niches in a linear array for receiving potted plants, each niche defines a reservoir capable of retaining a predetermined volume of a fluid. The back portion of the tray includes connecting elements for connecting the back portion of one tray with the back portion of a second tray so that the trays are substantially co-planar. Each of the trays define at least two sections that are joined so at to be separable into discrete sections that include different numbers of niches.

Abstract: A hide for a small animal habitat is provided. The hide includes a base, four side panels, a roof and one or more coupling mechanisms for removably coupling the hide to the base. A plurality of coupling mechanisms is contemplated and include tabs having a radially extending flange, an L-shaped in cross section clip, and a rotatable disc.

Abstract: A non-human primate restraint system comprising a complex of a manipulating chamber and a restraint chamber. The system provides a humane, interactive, and safe structure and methods for leading non-human primates from a chute or a cage, through the manipulating chamber, and into a restraint chamber. The restraint chamber is removably attached to the manipulating chamber. The restraint chamber has an upper part with a screen, a middle portion with slots to accommodate platforms, and a lower section with a screen. The screens can be retracted or removed to access either the top portion or lower portion of the NHP.

Abstract: A pet drinking bowl component includes a steel pipe, a copper head inlayed at one end of the steel pipe, a seal ring arranged in the copper head, and a steel ball moving in the steel pipe and blocked by the seal ring. The end of the steel pipe is provided with a groove-inlaying part. A ring-inlaying part is arranged at an end of the copper head. The groove-inlaying part and the ring-inlaying part are spliced through glue. A seal ring mounting part is arranged on the copper head. And inner diameter of the seal ring mounting part is reduced along a water outlet direction. An outer wall of the seal ring is adhered to the mounting part. Abstract: A fish tank includes a first water chamber for providing living space for fish; a second water chamber in fluid connection with the first water chamber with a grating therebetween. The openings of the grating are sized to keep the first water chamber and the second water chamber fluidly connected but prevent fish or other aquatic animals from entering the second water chamber. In an embodiment, a one-way valve allows water to flow out of the second water chamber and prevents water from flowing back into the first water chamber. A removable syringe with a plunger, a barrel and an orifice is provided such that when the orifice is connected to the one-way valve means and the plunger is pulled out of the barrel, water in the second water chamber flows into the barrel of the removable syringe through the one-way valve means.

The tool housing includes an open bottom portion, a closed first end portion and an open second end portion. The open second end portion is adapted for receiving the grooming tool therethrough. The tool housing is adapted for holding the grooming tool in a snug fit. Attached to a rear portion of the tool housing is a hollow handle. One end of the hollow handle includes a vacuum intake port for receiving the fur or hair from an animal, as the animal is being groomed. Abstract: A water wheel pet fountain includes a lower basin that holds water, a water wheel that lifts water from the lower basin and delivers it to a collector that has an outlet or spout that allows the water to exit the collector and fall back down into the lower basin in an exposed stream accessible to pets for drinking. A motor is removably carried on the basin and a removable cowl covers the water wheel. The fountain can be taken apart for cleaning and the electronics and motor can be separated from the components being cleaned. The parts that contact water have large fillets and can be made with an antimicrobial plastic.

Abstract: Personalized content is generated from different media items using a content index. The content index is generated or updated by identifying segments of media items that are of particular interest to users. User interactions with the media items are analyzed and metadata of segments of media items that are determined to be of particular interest to the users is recorded. The parameters associated with a request for personalized content for a user are matched with the recorded metadata to identify relevant media items or segments of media items which are transmitted to the user as the personalized content.

Abstract: Mirrored interface navigation is disclosed between two or more mobile devices with similar capabilities. When a connection is established between the mobile devices, interface navigation actions detected on a first of the connected devices are transmitted to the other devices. The other devices receive and execute those interface navigation actions to perform parallel interface navigation with the first mobile device. For example, two smart phones are connected for shared interface navigation, interface navigation actions performed on the first smart phone are translated to the second smart phone to perform mirrored parallel interface navigation. The mirrored parallel interface navigation may occur regardless of device type or specific application, such that interface navigation actions on an Apple, Inc., IPHONE® may result in parallel interface navigation on a Google ANDROID®-based phone to similar application types.
