    Abstract: The present invention presents a flexible method for source-based message routing in a network node, particularly also suitable for flexible load distribution of the traffic via a number of link sets terminating directly at an adjacent first network element. The method uses data structures which are often already available in existing systems or are simple to set up, of providing a number of link sets between two signaling points. A two-stage routing process is initiated based on the setting up of a message node, which supports a number of logical networks or signaling point codes. In the first stage a logical network is selected, in which the message is to be routed further. In the second stage the message is routed in the selected network.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a telecommunications connection module including a housing and connection locations mounted to a front face of the housing. The connection locations are removably mounted to the front face allowing access to an interior side of the connection locations from outside the housing and arranged to two rows. A shelf divide the interior of the housing into two spaces allowing cables to be directed to one or the other of the rows of connection locations. The housing may also include integral mounting recesses for mounting the housing to a telecommunications equipment rack. The rear of the housing may also include a removable portion and angled portions adjacent the sides which are offset toward the front face. The present invention also relates to a telecommunications connection system including a rack and at least one connection module mounted to the rack, the rack including a front and a rear cable management structure.

    Abstract: A mobile telephone, or personal communication services subscriber who wishes directory assistance services is connected in the conventional manner to an operator who identifies a destination telephone number desired by the subscriber. As known in the prior art, the operator then initiates a call connecting the subscriber to the destination telephone number. In a preferred embodiment, the operator locates a desired destination telephone number in a computer database, and can select automatic dialing of the located number. Further, rather than dropping all further involvement with the call, the preferred embodiment of the present invention continually monitors the connection thereby established for a predetermined DTMF signal issued by the customer, such as that obtained by pressing the “*” button. If such a signal is detected, the customer is transferred to a directory assistance operator, who can then provide whatever further assistance is needed (e.g., providing further directory assistance).
