In a video poker game embodiment dealt from a standard 52-card deck, when the player holds cards of a single rank (a pair, three-of-a-kind, or four-of-a-kind), the game dynamically adds one or more cards of the held rank to the deck to enable the player to potentially achieve five-of-a-kind.
