Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for predicting a status of a transaction are described. Feature data related to one or more transactions is collected and a subset of features is selected for use in predicting the status of the transaction. A model is trained using the collected feature data that corresponds to the selected features, and the model is applied to feature data of a selected transaction to generate a probability of the selected transaction attaining one or more defined statuses. Mitigating or preventive actions are performed based on the generated probability.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for enabling an ecommerce purchase transaction on a mobile device without requiring a user to enter payment card information during each transaction. A payment card token may be generated by the mobile payment application in response to receiving payment card information associated with a payment card. A unique user code associated with the payment card token may be generated. A payment card token may be communicated via a magnetic stripe reader communicatively coupled to the mobile device. The ecommerce purchase transaction may be completed by sending the payment card token from the mobile device to an online merchant upon entering the requisite unique user code.

Abstract: A system and method for optimizing management of inventory data is provided. A set of variables required for operating an inventory is determined. The set of variables represents one or more parameters associated with stock maintenance data of items present in the inventory. Further, a set of actionable variables from the set of variables is determined based on ranking two or more pre-determined variables from a set of pre-determined variables with respect to one or more target variables. The set of actionable variables represents one or more variables from the ranked variables. Lastly, a correlation is computed between the inventory stock maintenance data and the set of actionable variables based on an optimization model. The optimization model is trained and generated based on the set of actionable variables.

Abstract: A registration apparatus stores input data. The registration apparatus outputs the stored data. A checkout apparatus receives an input relating to payment for a commodity before data input of all commodities purchased by a customer at the registration apparatus is terminated. The checkout apparatus stores data relating to the received input. The checkout apparatus generates transaction data indicating a content of one transaction based on the stored data and the data output from the registration apparatus and issues a receipt.

Abstract: A priority seating management method, system, and computer program product, includes obtaining user trip data including a current location and a trip destination for a trip of a user, retrieving potential route data from a transportation database for each transportation vehicle traveling a route between the current location and the trip destination, retrieving real-time priority seating occupancy information for each transportation vehicle traveling the route including a location of a priority seat and an occupancy type of the priority seat, and compiling the user trip data, the potential route data, and the real-time priority seating occupancy information to determine a status availability of the priority seat for the user.

Abstract: Produce items are identified in aisle of a store during a self-shopping session of a shopper and the produce items are associated with a shopping cart of the shopper. A weigh terminal permits produce items to be placed on a weigh plate for weighing in any order selected by the shopper. Each produce item is verified, weight recorded, and price noted in the shopping cart. Discrepancies in produce identification are addressed on checkout and payment for the shopping cart. In an embodiment, aging produce items are identified in aisle or at the weigh terminal, and the shopper is provided a discounted price on such produce items; or availability of aging produce items are communicated to the shopper in aisle during produce identification or at the weigh terminal during produce verification.

Abstract: Distribution of electronic documents is described, including receiving an electronic document to be distributed, identifying whether a destination identifier is associated with a destination account among a known group of customer accounts, routing the electronic document, and calculating a fee associated with delivery of the electronic document based on whether the destination account is among the known group of customers and a set of billing rules. The set of billing rules may specify a discounted fee for routing an electronic document to each of a known group of customer accounts. In other aspects, the set of billing rules may specify a discounted fee for routing an electronic document to a first group of the known group of customer accounts and specify a standard fee for a second group of the known group of customer accounts.

Abstract: An exemplary system includes at least one physical computing device that is communicatively coupled, by way of a network, to a retail point of sale (POS) machine, and that receives a transaction identifier from the POS machine, uses the transaction identifier to query an electronic payment system, receives, from the electronic payment system in response to the query, data representative of a pending electronic payment that is associated with the transaction identifier and is awaiting funding, sends data representative of information about the pending electronic payment to the POS machine, the information indicating an amount to fund the pending electronic payment, receives, from the POS machine, a confirmation that the POS machine has received the amount to fund the pending electronic payment, and notifies the electronic payment system that the pending electronic payment has been funded.

Abstract: A security fingerprint architecture is disclosed. A security fingerprint comprises one or more behavioral factors which store a history of events associated with one or more users. The data in the security fingerprint is exposed by one or more modes, each of which determines the conditions that data in the security fingerprint may be accessed. Security fingerprints support a number of primitive operations that allow set operations to be performed. Security fingerprints may be used in for authentication, advertising, and other operations either alone, or in conjunction with third party data sources. An exemplary platform of security fingerprints built upon a cellular infrastructure is also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide for authenticating a user attempting to make a payment using a piezoelectric device are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, the piezoelectric device can be embedded on a credit card, debit card, or other form of payment card and signals generated by the piezoelectric device can be used to authenticate the user when making the payment. For example, the user can squeeze or manipulate the piezoelectric device in a specific predetermined pattern and the resulting electric charge or induced current generated by the piezoelectric device can facilitate transmitting a signal to a point of sale device, and the point of sale device can authenticate the user based on the signal. In other embodiments, the piezoelectric device can contain circuitry and/or logic that can authenticate the user and send a confirmation signal to the point of sale device to authenticate the payment.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for supply chain vulnerability forecasting using external event data is described. The method may include identifying historic data from each entity of a plurality of entities connected in a supply chain, aggregating temporal-based information relating to the entities and to relations among the entities into one or more time periods based on the historic data, training a cognitive prediction model using the aggregated temporal-based information, generating a vulnerability score for each entity, generating a recommendation for at least one entity if the vulnerability score for the at least one entity is above a preset threshold, retraining the cognitive prediction model using changed data of the at least one entity, and adjusting the vulnerability score based on the retraining.

Abstract: A method for purchasing a product at a brick-and-mortar retail establishment is provided. The method includes, but is not limited to, inputting identification information into a local device for a product sold by the brick-and-mortar retail establishment, transmitting the identification information to an order creation application, and upon receiving the identification information, selecting a dispense type for the product. The dispense type is selected from a group of dispense types including: “carry” for personally carrying the product out of the brick-and-mortar retail establishment, “load” for having the product loaded into the user's vehicle, “pickup” for having the product provided to the user at a predetermined location whereby the user will go to get that product, and “delivery” for delivering the product to the user at a predetermined location.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to electronic computer implemented tracking method and system for an article of manufacture. In one aspect, a plurality of computer readable records are electronically maintained and stored in a computer readable database. In one step, a temporary virtual record is generated with EDI data payload including a transaction record attribute, a location transfer request attribute for designating a transfer location of an article of manufacture, and a recipient user biometric ID attribute. Next, electronically via data communications network tunnel, EDI data payload representative of the transaction record attribute and the location transfer request attribute is transmitted; and responsive to the location transfer request attribute, via the computer-based data communications network, the system transmits EDI data payload representative of an exchange zone attribute for designating a physical zone for exchanging said article of manufacture.

Abstract: Disclosed is a compliance database and management system for auditing, assessing, and tracking the compliance of companies and their suppliers and method for performing the same. A method for performing supply chain compliance includes collecting supply chain data, such as information about one or more suppliers, compiling (e.g., building) the supply chain data (e.g., into a database) and providing the compiled supply chain data so that the data is accessible to a user. The compiled supply chain data can be analyzed, filtered by one or more parameters, organized by one or more parameters, or a combination thereof by a user.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for dispositioning returned assets. Embodiments determine, for each asset, the optimal disposition, prepare the asset for its final disposition, label it, and direct it to the appropriate landing bucket. Some embodiments receive an asset, connect it to a hub where it may be activated and received into a warehouse. The asset may require diagnostics to determine operational/functional and cosmetic status and/or other services to prepare it for final disposition. Data may be collected from the asset, the receiving process and a database containing information related to the asset item number and the record for the specific asset. An asset profile is created to which business rules are applied which may determine a preliminary disposition for the asset. Profiles for assets passing preliminarily dispositioning are processed through an optimal value server.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, methods, and non-transitory media for providing prescient and adaptive point-of-sale services via electronic networks are discussed herein. Some embodiments may include a system with one or more servers. The one or more servers may be configured to generate digital consumer tokens and provide the digital consumer tokens to consumer devices for sharing with merchant devices. When a merchant device receives the digital consumer token, the merchant device may forward the digital consumer token to the one or more servers in exchange for consumer data to facilitate consumer service. In some embodiments, the one or more servers may be configured to provide point-of-sale interfaces that adapt to different consumer preferences or consumer device signals. Some embodiments may provide for consumer interfaces that allow consumers to manage their electronic identity at various (e.g., merchant) locations.

Abstract: A stored value card activation system includes a server in communication with one or more computing devices configured in kiosks. The server receives stored value card type information associated with one of multiple non-activated stored value cards from the computing device. The server also receives monetary amount information to be associated with the selected stored value card from the kiosk, and payment information from a user of the kiosk. From this information, the server conducts a financial transaction with a financial account server associated with an account of the user, and activates the selected stored value card in accordance with the financial transaction.

Abstract: Methods, servers and computer program products for managing transport orders. The server receives a transport order which specifies a shipment to be transported from a first site to a second site. The server receives an indication of an available industrial truck of the plurality of industrial trucks. The server generates a driving order according to given criteria depending at least on properties of the available industrial truck, wherein the driving order specifies a subset of the shipment within a load capacity of the available industrial truck. The server transmits the generated driving order to the available industrial truck for execution.

Abstract: A system for automatic categorization and assessment of billing narratives has a semantic engine that classifies billing entries with descriptions expressed in natural language into standardized categories of activity and task objective. The classification is by machine learning methods via training data that is maintained, updated and extended as needed. A rules engine applies rules to the categorized invoice data to analyze the data, report violations to a user/consumer of billed services and to perform related calculations.
