Abstract: The DYNAMIC PAYMENT OPTIMIZATION APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“DPO”) transform requests for on-demand and flexible monetization and related services via DPO components into currency transfers, purchase receipt notifications, social networking communications and transaction analytics reports. In some embodiments, the DPO obtains a user product purchase request for a user engaged in an online experience at a point of sale device. The DPO parses the user product purchase request, and thereby identifies at least one attribute of at least one of: the user; the online experience; and the point of sale device. The DPO customizes one or more properties of a user interface for initiating a purchase transaction related to the user product purchase request, according to the identified at least one attribute of the user, the online experience or the point of sale device; and providing the customized user interface.

Abstract: A price-generation system exemplary of the present invention reduces reliance on synchronization of rating and billing information, simplifies and speeds up commercial implementation of such systems, and reduces computational costs associated with real-time cost calculations by pre-computing rating data that can be automatically applied to subscriber usage. In one embodiment, a price-generation system comprises an analysis component configured to automatically generate at least one rate cube, wherein the at least one rate cube is configured to store rate plan information, an order entry component configured to pre-compute recurring charge information associated with at least one service based on at least a first set of rules, and a billing component configured to calculate total charges based on at least the pre-computed recurring charge information and usage charge information, wherein the usage charge information is calculated using the at least one rate cube.

Abstract: A platform facilitates buyers, sellers, and third parties in obtaining information related to each other's transaction histories, such as a supplier's shipment history, the types of materials typically shipped, a supplier's customers, a supplier's expertise, what materials and how much a buyer purchases, buyer and shipper reliability, similarity between buyers, similarity between suppliers, and the like. The platform aggregates data from a variety of sources, including, without limitation, customs data associated with actual import/export transactions and facilitates the generation of reports as to the quality of buyers and suppliers, the reports relating to a variety of parameters that are associated with buyer and supplier quality.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for communicating private user information from a mobile device to a transaction terminal or other external device. More specifically, systems and methods are described for improving authentication through the use of mobile devices used to facilitate transactions with external devices. The authentication described herein can be adaptive, thereby providing a flexible level of automatic on-the-spot transaction security. Unlike prior art systems, the mobile device is not required to have network connectivity. Additionally, the systems and methods described herein are easily adapted to most current systems.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure enable a tailored user experience to be provided. A kiosk system includes a scanner component configured to identify biometric data; a metric component configured to communicate with the scanner component to identify user identifier data based on the biometric data; a transaction component configured to communicate with the metric component to identify a financial account corresponding to the identified user identifier data, and generate a request for authorization for a financial transaction using the identified financial account; and a dispenser component configured to communicate with the transaction component to determine whether to dispense the beverage. Aspects of the disclosure provide for tailoring a user experience based on various factors including a user metric and/or an account metric.

Abstract: Computing systems and methods for facilitating merchant controlled point of sale (“POS”) transactions in retail and other establishments. These systems and methods include communication interfaces adapted to connect a computing system to remotely located devices having information regarding a plurality of third-party financial service providers, one or more storage components adapted to store merchant information, third-party financial service provider information, or both, and one or more processors in communication with the communication interfaces and storage components. Such processors facilitate merchant controlled point of sale transactions that involve receiving terms of or evaluating criteria of a transaction between a purchaser and the merchant and then selecting a particular third-party financial service provider from a plurality of possible providers to facilitate processing the transaction for the merchant based upon the specific terms or criteria of the transaction.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein include systems and methods for systematic crowdsourcing of geolocation data. Transaction data that includes an identification of a point of sale device and an identification of a payment vehicle used in the transaction can be received. A confidence in a location of the point-of-sale device can be calculated. When the confidence of the location of the point-of-sale device is lower than a threshold confidence, a location of a device associated with an owner of the payment vehicle can be determined. An updated confidence in the location of the point-of-sale device can be generated based at least in part on the location of the device.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes displaying a plurality of fill group identifiers and a map on a user interface. Each fill group identifier represents a separate collection of products that are restocked as a group, and the map has a plurality of flags, each flag indicating the location of a product that needs to be restocked. A request is received through the user interface to set a restocking task for one of the fill groups. When the restocking task is completed, the user interface is updated so that the fill group identifier associated with the request is removed from the user interface and the flags for any products in the fill group associated with the request are removed from the map.

Abstract: Certain aspects of a method and system for communicating location of a mobile device for hands-free payment may include a peer-to-peer ad-hoc network that comprises a plurality of mobile devices, a plurality of access points, and a plurality of point of sale (POS) devices. A first mobile device may determine its location coordinates and communicate them to a selected POS device via the peer to peer ad-hoc network. At least one of the plurality of mobile devices and/or the plurality of access points may be within a defined proximity of the selected POS device. In some instances, the first POS device may receive via one or more intermediate mobile devices in the peer-to-peer ad-hoc network, location coordinates and payment transaction information of a selected mobile device. At least one of the intermediate mobile devices may be within a defined proximity of the first POS device.

The electronic ticket may include graphical depictions of the electronic ticket in locked, redeemable, and redeemed states, and a ticket beacon address. A delivery service selects the intended recipient from a list of intended recipients. If the intended recipient is not found on the list, information about the intended recipient (e.g. a photo of the mailing label or other information) is entered into the system, and a message having the information is left in a house account. In response, a message is received having additional information about the intended recipient, which is used to contact the intended recipient and request the intended recipient to pick up the item.

Abstract: An electrolyzer operates within an energy system, for example to provide grid services, energy storage or fuel, or to produce hydrogen from electricity produced from renewable resources. The electrolyzer may be configured to operate at frequently or quickly varying rates of electricity consumption or to operate at a specified power consumption. In one process of operating an electrolyzer, a series of dispatches is received indicating a specified power consumption for a period of time. The dispatches may occur at least once every 30 minutes. The electrolyzer is operated according to the dispatches. Hydrogen produced by the electrolyzer is discharged to a natural gas system.

Abstract: Processing of merchant-specific functionality services during proximity connection transactions. The merchant terminal transmits additional data to the computing device that enables the device to identify the merchant. The computing device can enable merchant-specific features, such as offers, rewards, loyalty information, and other incentives that are applicable to the identified merchant. The bi-directional communication between the devices permits the computing device to transmit these identified incentives to the merchant terminal. The merchant terminal can then adjust the purchase price. The computing device can also enable a merchant-specific financial instrument and can communicate the identity of the merchant to a management system.

Abstract: A POS terminal device capable of improving a recognition rate in a process for recognizing a commodity irrespective of the surrounding environment is provided. A POS terminal device (1) includes a brightness measurement unit (2), an irradiation unit (4), an image pickup unit (6), and a recognition process unit (8). The brightness measurement unit (2) measures the brightness of environmental light around the POS terminal device (1). The irradiation unit (4) irradiates a commodity with light, the light being adjusted according to the brightness of the environmental light measured by the brightness measurement unit (2). The image pickup unit (6) shoots the commodity irradiated with the light by the irradiation unit (4) and thereby generates an image thereof. The recognition process unit (8) performs a process for recognizing the commodity based on the image generated by the shooting performed by the image-pickup unit (6).

Abstract: A payment terminal may receive a request to process electronic payment information from a payment card in a swipe mode. The payment terminal may provide an opt-in request. If a user accepts, the payment terminal may receive a payment transaction request and electronic payment information of a swipe payment type from the payment card at a swipe interface. The payment terminal may determine whether the payment card is a chip card and generate a swipe mode processing indicator. The swipe mode indicator may allow processing of electronic payment information using procedures for the swipe payment type. The payment terminal may transmit the swipe mode processing indicator and electronic payment information to a payment server from a communication interface of the payment terminal, and may receive a payment approval response based on the swipe mode processing indicator.
