Abstract: A flexible fishing rod is described having a cross section which tapers from a large butt end to a small tip end. The rod has a hollow section extending along the rod axis from the butt end to a solid tip section formed by compression of the pattern used to make the rod.

Abstract: A inside door handle assembly for an automotive vehicle includes a bezel fixedly secured to a door, a handle freely rotatably retained by opposing side walls of the bezel, an arm integral with the handle on one side of the two opposing side walls of the bezel, a spring arranged on the handle and having one end fixedly engaged with the bezel and another end fixedly engaged with the handle, the spring biasing the handle at all times in a direction for closing the door, and an engagement portion integral with the handle on the other side of the two opposing side walls of the bezel, the engagement portion coming into abutting contact with the spring when the handle is turned in a direction which opens the door.

Abstract: A bee trap particularly suited for yellow jacket bees having a housing with an enclosed bottom which retains some attractant liquid. A snap fit lid is provided to enclose the upper end of the housing. One or more horizontally extending bee entrance tubes having one end joined to the housing where an aperture is provided for the entrance of bees. The bee entrance tube is of a particular length and configuration and is oriented with respect to the bottom and side surfaces of the housing to present extreme difficulties in enabling a bee to escape the device once inside.

Abstract: A cover for cabinet hinges which serves for the hanging of a door ona cabinet and has a carcase-related hinge part which can be adjustably fasterned on the cabinet wall and a door-related hinge part coupled by a linkage mechanism to the carcase-related part and attachable to the inside of the door, which cover conceals at least a portion of the hinge components. The cover has an elongated bellows of elastic material open on its side facing the inside surfaces, which can be elastically lengthened an can flex, at least in the area of the linkage mechanism, around the pivot axis of the hinge. The bellows has at each end a fastening flange which can be releasably attached to the carcase-related hinge part or to the mounting plate of the latter and to the door-related hinge part, respectively.

Abstract: A fishing pole support apparatus having an operative position and a storage position is attached to a fishing pole. The fishing pole is frictionally clamped in a channel between the body and a cover plate. Two legs are detachably attached to the body and, in the operative position, form a tripod with the fishing pole so as to retain the fishing pole in an inclined position. In the storage position, the legs are selectively clamped and supported parallel to the fishing pole by two clamps attached to the body. The legs can be made up of a plurality of leg sections detachably attachable to one another.

Abstract: A mouse exterminating device and method is presented with improved safety features. Activated electrical circuitry causes the mouse to be suffocated by impingement of a horizontal blade while a thermal switch prevents the device from overheating thus reducing the chance of fire. Indicator lights demonstrate whether the device is turned on and also if the device has been activated by a mouse.

Abstract: A sound producing fishing lure and method of making the lure having an elongated linear body secured at one end to a hook and at the other end to a blade support. The blade support has a pair of upwardly diverging arms attached to longitudinal rods. Blades rotatably supported on the rods have outer portions that intermittently contact each other to produce fish attracting sounds as the lure is retrieved in the water. The arms are bendable relative to each other to change the lateral positions of the blades and thereby alter the sound producing characteristics of the lure. The body and blade support have interengaging side-by-side legs and body members that are clamped together with a stainless steel collar.

Abstract: A releasable fish-hook assembly is provided herein. The assembly includes a hollow, double-open-ended cylindrical retainer. A fish-hook is modified to have an arrowhead, which may or may not be deformable, which is attached thereto, the arrowhead being capable of passing through the central core of the hollow cylindrical retainer in one direction only. Connecting means are provided which connect the fish-hook to the arrowhead, such means being adapted to break to release the arrowhead from the fish-hook when a force on the fish-hook exceeds a pre-set limit.

Abstract: A float for a fishing line comprises a buoyant bob member having a substantially L-shaped tube extending from one side to the bottom thereof to define intersecting tubular arms adapted to carry the line in slidable disposition therein when the line is slack and to frictionally engage the line in locked disposition when the line is taut as a result of a fish being hooked. A plurality of blind holes extend into and are circumferentially spaced about the bottom of the float to form pockets of air trapped therein by the force of the water to provide a drag anchor increasing resistance to the pull of the fish in attempting to get away.

Abstract: An ice fishing hole cover and tip up device for fishing with a fishing line through a hole in ice. The device includes a housing which rests atop the ice and is dimensioned to cover an ice fishing hole formed in the ice, a shaft extending between opposite sides of the housing and journaled therein for rotation with respect to the housing with one end projecting from one side of the housing, a fishing line spool carried on the shaft and rotatable therewith to play out and reel in fishing line, a signal flag movable between a set position engageable with the projecting end of the shaft and a tripped position disengaged from the shaft, and a spring for biasing the signal flag toward its tripped position.

Abstract: A fishing reel assembly designed for use either on a butt structure for securement directly to a fishing rod and including an elongated body having two holder elements mounted thereon for retaining engagement of a support plate of the fishing reel. Abstract: A fish hook includes integrally connected hook, shank and eyelet portions which are formed to both increase fish catching efficiency and to minimize damage to hooked fish so that fish can normally be released essentialy unharmed. The eyelet portion is substantially aligned with the tip of the hook portion so that the tip can more effectively penetrate the jaw structures of fish, and the shank is bent outwardly from the hook portion to provide clearance around the jaw structures of fish. The overall construction of the hook and shank portions normally prevents the hook from passing into the inner mouth areas of fish in order to avoid causing serious damage to the fish.

The container is pivotally attached to a base and by pivoting the container in one direction, pressure is applied to the handle and when the container is pivoted in the opposite direction, the plate withdraws from the rod handle allowing the user to easily extract the fishing rod from the holder.
