Abstract: A window slider for guiding a vehicle window in a guide channel having spaced, side and base walls comprises a one-piece molded plastic part having stiffly resilient projections integral with the part and extending laterally in two directions to bear against the side and base walls to prevent rattling of the slider in two directions in the channel. Several embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A chum basket having generally frusto-conically shaped sections which are jointed at their larger ends and which have perforations in their side walls, a device on the upper section by which the body may be suspended in the water, and a weight in the lower section to cause the body to assume a vertical position generally coaxial of its sections, the upper section having a door in the side thereof to permit access to the interior of the body.

Abstract: A handle assembly includes an open-ended sleeve connectable to a valve stem by a screw inserted and removed through the open end. A removable thimble has a lateral opening which aligns with a lateral opening in the sleeve. A handle member is held intact to the thimble and sleeve by an internal threaded connection. In one embodiment, the internal connection is provided by threads of two handle members and the thimble. In another embodiment, a screw extends from one handle member for connection with the other with the head housed in a cavity which is covered by a cap. The handle assembly can also be provided with decorative rings positioned between the handle members and the thimble. In a preferred embodiment, the threaded engagement with the thimble is afforded by a first cross member inside the thimble and a second cross member represented by a handle member covering the thimble opening.

Abstract: An externally visible 180 degree hinge for switching boxes having a first bearing block attached to a box casing and a U-shaped second bearing block surrounding the first. The second bearing block is attached to a door leaf and pressed into an edge area of the door leaf so that an axis of rotation of the hinge is outside a corner formed by an edge of the door.

Abstract: A trotline storage and dispensing device is disclosed. The device includes a base wall, first and second pairs of side walls extending upwardly from the base wall, and a divider wall extending substantially parallel to each of the first pair of side walls and between each wall of the second pair of side walls. A pair of storage compartments, each bounded by the base wall, one of the first pair of side walls, the divider wall and the second pair of side walls is thus formed. Hook storage and dispensing tubes are disposed at the top of and extend along each of the first pair of side walls. Each of the storage compartments receives a trotline, while the hook storage and dispensing tubes receive and retain hooks connected by leaders to the trotline so that as the storage and dispensing device is moved away from an anchored end of each trotline, the trotline, leaders and hooks are pulled over one of the second pair of side walls and out of the storage and dispensing device.

Abstract: A hinge assembly for shower stalls has a helical spring on the hinge pin, positioned in a gap between the coaxial hinge sleeves, the ends of this spring being attached respectively to the two pieces of the hinge so as to apply biasing spring tension to hold the door closed.

Abstract: A fishing rod having a portion on which a leg portion of a fishing reel is mounted is composed of three layered structure integrally formed by a thermosetting manner and comprising a prepreg sheet or woven fabric layer prepared by impregnating thermosetting resin into high tension or strength fibers, a glass fiber reinforced sheet layer prepared by impregnating thermosetting resin into glass fibers, and a carbon fiber reinforced sheet layer whose fibers extend in a single orientation prepared by impregnating thermosetting resin into carbon fibers. The three layers constitute a thickened portion on which the reel is mounted. Screw threads are formed throughout the entire axial length of the thickened portion and two nut members are screw-engaged with the screw threads in an axially opposing manner to be axially movable.

Abstract: Rotatable worm bait box, comprising a one piece molded rectangular water-tight box which has a single aperture with no permanent lids. The worms will be kept on top of the dirt by a simple 90.degree. one-handed rotation. A single, removable, air-ventilated lid is provided for shipping, if desired.

Abstract: A fish landing net having a cord attached to the apex of the net webbing for preventing drifting of the webbing during landing of a fish. One end of the cord is attached to the apex of the webbing and the other is attached to a weight slidably received within the hollow portion of the landing net handle.

Abstract: Security hardware for an exterior entry door in which a flat piece of metal is bent into a J-shaped door jamb mounted component and in which an aperture through which a door mounted article of hardware can project is provided in the single layer part an aligned buck pin apertures are provided in the double layer part of the component. A buck pin having a head portion and a grooved portion spaced therefrom is also provided as is a slotted retaining member that when positioned between the double layer of the component engages the grooved portion of the buck pin to prevent its removal from the buck pin apertures.

Abstract: Apparatus for automatically actuating a downrigger motor to reel in a downrigger line upon release of a fishing line or release of tension on the downrigger line includes a normally closed switch mounted on a fishing rod holder and engaged by the rod holder when the holder is in a set position. Upon movement of the rod holder from the set position to a strike position, the switch closes a circuit between a power source and downrigger motor. The motor is actuated to reel in the downrigger line.

Abstract: A tuning mechanism is provided for a fishing lure allowing for predictable control of the path traveled by the lure permitting the user to cause the lure to swim to the left or the right as it is retrieved.

Abstract: This invention relates to a castor positioning device and in particular to one including a positioning shell generally conical in shape and having a hole at the top and an open end at the bottom, an actuating member formed at the center with a threaded through hole and a hexagonal contour from which extends downwardly an engaging portion having a thin stopper at the bottom end thereof and a castor having on the top a vertical screw extending upwardly through the hole of the positioning shell and then engaged with the threaded through hole of the actuating member, whereby the invention is applicable to be mounted on machines with or without transverse rods at the bottom frame thereof.

Abstract: A hinge primarily for a roof window with a pivotally opening sash comprises a body to be fixed to the frame of the window, a support member pivoted to the body and arranged to be secured to the sash, a stay member pivoted to the support member spaced from its connection to the body, and constraining mechanism comprising a frictional assembly and positive catch mechanism to hold at least one position of the sash. As the sash is pivoted, the stay member has one end moved in an arc by the support member while its other end is constrained to reciprocation within the body. The catch mechanism may be operable from a remote position on the frame.

Abstract: A rope-type carrying handle including a discontinuous segment of rope having two unconnected free ends and a handgrip therefor which securely anchors the ends and center of the rope against longitudinal movement in the handle. The handgrip comprises first and second members which mate so as to trap the rope therebetween and include a plurality of receptacles, retainer pins and ribs which cooperate to variously so penetrate, spread, wedge and pinch the rope within the handgrip as to prevent relative movement therebetween.
