Abstract: In some implementations, a storage optimization system may receive a plurality of emails. Accordingly, the system may identify at least one email associated with a limited capacity in the plurality of emails. The system may further scan, from the at least one email, one or more hyperlinks to determine a website associated with the at least one email and an identifier associated with an event. The system may determine, using a database, a traversal path and at least one application programming interface (API) call associated with the website. Accordingly, the system may traverse the website using the traversal path and the at least one API using the identifier to determine that the limited capacity is filled. The system may delete the at least one email associated with the limited capacity based on determining that the limited capacity is filled.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a visual content gallery within a controlled environment are disclosed herein. A content gallery server receives a content submission from an inmate device within the controlled environment. Further, the content gallery server determines that the content submission does not include prohibited content based on comparing the content submission to a blacklist of prohibited information. When the content submission does not include prohibited content, the content gallery server adds the content submission to a network accessible content gallery corresponding to an inmate associated with the inmate device. Further, authorized friends and family of the inmate may view the content submission and provide comments on the content submission.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for using one or more feature recognition system(s) to identify features in a scanned image and to associate tags with identified features are described. Probabilities of a feature being present are taken into consideration in some embodiments. In various embodiments once a tag has been determined as corresponding to a feature which has been confirmed as being in the scanned image synonyms for the tag word are identified and also associated with the scanned image. By using results of multiple automated feature recognition systems and generating overall probabilities that a feature is present in an image more reliable tagging can be implemented in an automated manner than in system which rely on a single AI system without the need for extensive operator input with respect to identification of all features in the image which are to be tagged.

Abstract: When a messaging system generates connection recommendations for a new user, who first registers with the messaging system, the signals available for generation of recommendations may be limited to the user's contact book matches. Using just this limited signal poses a concern associated with leaking information about users represented by the recommendations. The technical problem of generating connection recommendations for a user at registration time in a privacy-safe manner is addressed by a recommendation methodology that obscures the connection source and the connection distance of the recommended profiles.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for establishing communication channel between a user and a resource. A data capturing module captures data corresponding to the user of the web service. A resource identification module identifies the resource based on comparison of one or more attribute of the resource with the data. A determination module determines at least one mode of a communication channel between the User and the resource by comparing a bandwidth of the communication channel available with one of the user and the resource. Examples of the communication channel comprises a video call, an audio call, an automated chat, and an email. Abstract: Systems and methods for allocating computing resources within a distributed computing system are disclosed. Computing resources such as CPUs, GPUs, network cards, and memory are allocated to jobs submitted to the system by a scheduler. System configuration and interconnectivity information is gathered by a mapper and used to create a graph. Resource allocation is optimized based on one or more quality of service (QoS) levels determined for the job. Job performance characterization, affinity models, computer resource power consumption, and policies may also be used to optimize the allocation of computing resources.

In one exemplary embodiment, devices of a fog network may provide for example, computational, storage, and/or network resources in exchange for fungible tokens. In one such variant, the user contributions are recorded in a blockchain data structure, thereby enabling users to be compensated for their contributions of resources to the network at a later time. Unlike traditional networking techniques which often rely on centralized networks directing and/or commandeering user equipment for network bandwidth, the various aspects of the present disclosure are directed to ensuring that crediting and debiting of participation can be performed at the edge of the network (within the fog) without requiring authentication or trust exchanges. Abstract: A method and system for storing and retrieving electronic files using blockchains. Original electronic files including plaintext and encrypted files, are split into plural smaller files, encrypted, have a file index created and stored in a blockchain. The encrypted plural smaller files are sent to one or more email servers with standard emailing protocols (e.g., IMAP/POP/SMTP, etc.) and stored in one or more email inboxes. Email inboxes provide secure, private storage of electronic information. The encrypted plural smaller files are retrieved from the one or more e-mail servers using the file index stored on the blockchain, decrypted and reassembled back into the original electronic file.
