Abstract: A current technique to enforce a Zoning configuration is referred to as “Hard Zoning”. Hard Zoning is a technique in which network switches in a fabric inspect packets to ascertain if a packet should be forwarded or discarded, according to the communication between nodes allowed by the Zoning configuration. For the network switches to be able to perform this packet-by-packet filtering, Zoning information needs to be supplied to the network switches. However, current approaches involve sending duplicate data to switches. These approaches are very inefficient and cumbersome. Accordingly, embodiments comprise a Centralized Discovery Controller (CDC) that collects network information, generates, for a switch, its appropriate zoning information, and sends the switch-specific zoning information to that switch.

Abstract: With the advent of manycore architecture, on-chip interconnect connects a number of cores, caches, memory modules, accelerators, graphic processing unit (GPU) or chiplets in one system. However, on-chip interconnect architecture consumes a significant portion of total parallel computing chip power. Power-gating is an effective technique to reduce power consumption by powering off the routers, but it suffers from a large wake-up latency to resume the full activity of routers. Recent research aims to improve the wake-up latency penalty by hiding it through early wake-up techniques. However, these techniques do not exploit the full advantage of power-gating due to the early wake-up. Consequently, they do not achieve significant power savings. The present invention provides a new router architecture that remedies the large wake-up latency overheads while providing significant power savings. The invention takes advantage of a simple switch to transmit packets without waking up the router.

Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses may provide management of messaging for one or more devices of a user according to the user's configurable presence schedule. A messaging management server may receive notifications of messages and the messages themselves from a messaging service provider. The messages may have originated from a first user and be intended for receipt by a second user. After a preset time period has elapsed, a notification of the message may be sent from the messaging management server to each of the second user's devices in accordance with the second user's presence schedule. Subsequent messages from the first user and intended for the second user may be routed from the messaging management server to the device on which the second user responded to the notification of the initial message and might not be routed to the second user's other devices.
Abstract: An electronic device monitors audible output for media content being presented in its vicinity. It detects a volume change event within the monitored audible output. It obtains identification of the media content. Based on the identification, the device obtains a list of expected volume change events within the media content. It determines whether the detected volume change event correlates with one of the expected volume change events. In accordance with a determination that there is no correlation, the device determines that the detected volume change event comprises a volume change event from a user of the device. It analyzes the detected volume change event to determine user interest in the presented media content. The determined level of interest is sent to a server system. The device receives from the server system one or more recommendations based on the determined level of interest, and presents to the user the recommendations.
Abstract: A sauna having a video display device, a loud speaker device, lighting elements, an aromatherapy device, and a user interface device, and includes control circuitry which links the sauna to a remote server. The remote server provides media files for display to a user and collects and stores user profile and usage information. Multiple saunas are be linked into a network or global infrastructure so that a user's profile and usage information follow the user to any sauna connected to the network. Collected data can be used by users to track individual usage and performance metrices, and by service providers to analyze usage data and information for operational and marketing purposes.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for managing service delivery quality levels and telemetry. In one embodiment, an entity (such as a Session Resource Manager or SRM) receives network layout data from the network. The SRM uses the layout data to generate a mapping of the network. The SRM also receives performance data related to the interconnections of the network. The performance data is then applied to the mapping such that, in one variant, an visual overlay showing network flow and/or performance analytics is created. Based on this mapping showing layout and corresponding performance, the SRM generates rules for delivery of services. The rules may detail preferred routes and service level information. The rules are the distributed to nodes along the delivery route and delivery is executed in compliance with the rules.
