  • Patent number: 5485065
Abstract: A position command method and apparatus for shortening the acceleration and deceleration times of a servo controlled apparatus by effectively utilizing the torque of the controlled apparatus. A value of speed per unit time is developed on the basis of speed and position data, and a constant speed or an acceleration or deceleration function processing may be selectably performed. In the position commanding method and its unit of the present invention, the deceleration stop distance of output speed is computed at all times or is held as a list data as described above and moreover is compared with a residual distance XR. Consequently, the deceleration stop distance does not have to coincide with the residual portion from the acceleration command, and the acceleration/deceleration curve alone can be realized in an independent form. Also, the speed change can be made smoother by correcting the cross point of independently formed acceleration and/or deceleration curves defining a corner section.

  • Patent number: 5243252
Abstract: An electron emission device is employed as an electron emission source in various applications using an electron beam. The electron emission device has a cathode layer having an edge, and a control electrode spaced and electrically insulated from the cathode layer, for drawing electrons from said edge of the cathode layer. When a voltage is applied between the cathode layer and the control electrode, a developed electric field is concentrated on the edge of the cathode layer to cause the edge to emit electrons. The electron emission device can easily be manufactured with a high yield since it does not have a needle tip for emitting electrons. A method of manufacturing the electron emission device is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5191680
Abstract: An air gun for producing nonwoven fabrics has an inlet, a carrier path and a compressed air blow port. The air gun receives filaments spun from high speed spinning nozzles and delivers them onto a screen belt to form a web. The inlet of the air gun receives the filament from the spinning nozzle. The carrier path then puts the filament on an air flow to deliver it while the compressed air blow port is open in the midst of the carrier path to an air inlet from a compressed air source. On a downstream side of the carrier path from the compressed air blow port an exhaust path is provided. When the filament is introduced into the inlet of the air gun, a part of the air flowing into the carrier path is discharged from this exhaust path. Because the exhaust path remains open during filament introduction, a negative pressure at the filament inlet increases thereby sucking the filaments into the inlet. The exhaust path can then be closed and the filaments will be drawn and delivered under constant traction.

  • Patent number: 5008455
Abstract: There is provided a method for the production of hydroxylamine derivatives or the salt thereof in which a salt of hydroxamic acid is reacted with an alkylating agent such as diethyl sulfate to form an ester of hydroxamic acid, which is reacted with mineral acid in an aqueous solution of lower alcohol so as to prepare hydroxylamine derivatives or the salt thereof. In this process, the incorporation of an oxidizing agent or aldehydes in the reaction system will significantly reduce the content of nitrosoamines in the resulting solution of hydroxylamine derivatives or the salt thereof. Therefore, the resulting hydroxylamine derivatives obtained with a lesser content of harmful compound will be useful as an intermediate for the production of drugs and pesticides.

  • Patent number: 4823278
Abstract: A method for logic design of an integrated circuit IC in which at least one parameter concerning wiring line capacitances is used. The parameter can be precisely estimated even at a logic design stage preceding a layout design stage. The estimation is carried out by, first, classifying the logic units or the logic gates of the IC into hierarchal functional blocks. Second, specifying, for each closed network defined by delay paths, a higher level functional block in which the closed network is contained. Third, specifying lower level functional blocks enclosed by the higher functional block. Fourth, calculating the estimated wiring line capacitances of the closed network in accordance with predetermined data concerning both fan-out and actual wiring line capacitances. The data, used for the estimation, are varied in accordance with the degrees of the hierarchal level.
