  • Patent number: 11535596
Abstract: Substituted analogs of dextromethorphan (DM) are disclosed, which are shown to have substantial binding affinity at both NMDA and sigma-1 receptors, and which are degraded by human liver enzymes more slowly than dextromethorphan. The analogs are useful as alternatives to dextromethorphan, and can provide the same benefits without requiring co-administration of a cytochrome P-450 enzyme inhibitor.

  • Patent number: 11528389
Abstract: A method and system for synchronizing an audio signal and a video signal includes a source device receiving an audio-video signal comprising the audio signal and the video signal. The video signal has a video time stamp. The source device communicates the audio signal from the source device to a first sink device through a wireless network with a second time stamp and communicates the video signal to the second sink device with the video time stamp. The second sink device generates a synchronization (synch) signal and communicates the synch signal to the first sink device. The first sink device compares the synch signal to the second time stamp, adjusts a relative timing of the playback of the audio signal in response to comparing and generates an audible signal from the audio signal.

  • Patent number: 11441490
Abstract: A system and method can include a rotational component, a fluid pump, and a shaft transferring rotational power toward the fluid pump. A fluid circuit can include a valve and the fluid pump wherein pump is configured to motivate fluid toward the valve disposed downstream of the pump. The system can be configured to raise fluid pressure at the pump outlet by closing the valve to thereby effect an increased braking load on the shaft. The rotational component can be an electric machine mechanically coupled to a gas turbine engine. The fluid circuit can include a heat exchanger configured to transfer heat between the rotational component and the fluid. The system can include a second heat exchanger configured to transfer heat from the fluid to a heat sink. A processing system can be configured to receive a command to increase the hydraulic braking load to the rotational component by closing the valve to raise fluid pressure at the pump outlet based on a braking command.

  • Publication number: 20220263060
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to utilizing laser ablation to selectively remove regions of active material from lithium-ion battery electrodes during production, forming channels. These channels may improve the radius of curvature of the lithium-ion battery, form patterns on the surface of the electrode to store excess electrolyte, provide improved access to external sources of lithium during pre-lithiation or re-lithiation, and/or lower the tortuosity of electrodes for enhanced ion transfer between electrodes during cycling in prismatic cells and cylindrical cells.

  • Publication number: 20220193561
Abstract: A motion simulation apparatus includes a motion platform. A carrier for carrying a user is mounted on the motion platform. The apparatus has a drive arm with a lower end that is pivotally mounted on a substrate to pivot relative to the substrate with two degrees of freedom of movement and an upper end that is pivotally connected to the motion platform to pivot with respect to the motion platform with two degrees of freedom of movement. The apparatus has two guide arms, each guide arm having a lower end that is pivotally mounted on the substrate to pivot relative to the substrate with three degrees of freedom of movement and an upper end that is pivotally connected to the motion platform to pivot relative to the motion platform with three degrees of freedom of movement. The drive arm, the guide arms and the motion platform define a dynamic frame that can pivot with respect to the substrate such that a resultant movement of the motion platform can be imparted to the carrier.

  • Patent number: 11367074
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed, to distinguish fraudulent transactions from a legitimate transaction, predicated on the notion that the card is considered likely to be in state of fraud. The disclosed system and method can be activated as soon as an account has suspicious activity that causes a high score for potential fraud, but before a bank either can or needs to confirm fraud. The system or method is able to pinpoint the actual fraudulent transactions inside a window of potential fraudulent activity, using a specialized model referred to as the pinpoint model.

  • Patent number: 11365518
Abstract: A method of forming a molded article includes preparing a fiber suspension by liquidizing fibrous material in a suspending liquid using at least one high shear mixer. The fiber suspension is fed to the molding surface of a porous mold. The suspending liquid is removed via the pores of the porous mold to deposit suspended fibers on the mold surface as a molded article. Removing the suspending liquid is achieved by pressing a bladder formed of a flexible impermeable membrane against the article using pressure applied behind the membrane. The molded article is removed from the porous mold dried using microwave radiation generated using at least one magnetron. A molding apparatus is use in the method and a molded article is produced by the method.

  • Publication number: 20220125739
Abstract: An abuse deterrent and misuse deterrent transdermal patch comprising aversive agents incorporated in the backing layer of the patch. The aversive agents can exhibit biphasic or sustained kinetics of release with an immediate portion released rapidly and an extended portion released in a prolonged manner when exposed to a dissolution medium. The prolonged aversive agent release provides deterrence against extraction of drug from fresh and used patches and serves to prevent accidental misuse of used patches by children. The abuse deterrent and misuse deterrent patch systems can be used for transdermal delivery of therapeutically active agents and particularly those drugs that are highly prone to abuse such as opiate and opioid analgesics and stimulants.
