  • Publication number: 20220006561
Abstract: A user equipment includes a receiver and a transmitter and is configured to report channel state information (CSI) to a base station in a communication system in which a plurality of downlink component carriers and at least one uplink component carrier are configured. The receiver receives, in a slot nTrigger, a trigger message that triggers reporting of the CSI for at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier of the plurality of downlink component carriers. The transmitter transmits, in a slot nReport, the CSI based on reference signals present in a slot nRS on the at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier. Responsive to the at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier being occupied for a period of time for a bursty downlink transmission, only the reference signals in the slot nRS are evaluated for the CSI, and other slots in the period of time are not evaluated for the CSI.

  • Patent number: 11191069
Abstract: A base station is disclosed that enables an efficient use of resources even when a TTI length is shortened. In this base station, a PDCCH section (103) generates one piece of downlink control information (DCI) containing control information for a plurality of first transmission time intervals (TTIs) each having a TTI length shorter than a second TTI, and a transmission section (107) transmits the DCI. Control information on retransmission processing for a data signal is configured for each of the plurality of first TTIs while control information other than the control information on the retransmission processing is configured in common among the plurality of first TTIs in the DCI.

  • Publication number: 20210368521
Abstract: A base station is disclosed, which is capable of appropriately configuring the timings of data assignment, data transmission and reception, and feedback for a case where the DL and UL sTTI lengths are different from each other. In this base station (100), a transmission section (106) transmits a downlink signal using a first short transmission time interval (sTTI) shortened in length than a TTI and used for downlink; and a reception section (107) receives an uplink signal using a second sTTI shortened in length than the TTI and used for uplink. When the first sTTI is shorter in length than the second sTTI, the reception section (107) receives the uplink signal in the second sTTI positioned after a predetermined interval from the transmission timing of the downlink signal, the predetermined interval being configured based on the length of the first sTTI.

  • Publication number: 20210345379
Abstract: A mobile station comprises a receiver and a processor. The receiver is configured to receive, from a base station, allocation information indicating a plurality of uplink resource block(s). The processor is configured to obtain from the base station a response signal for data mapped on the uplink resource block(s). The response signal is obtained using a first coding for the mobile station in a first cell or first cell sector. The first coding is different from a second coding used by the base station for a response signal in a neighboring cell or neighboring cell sector. • Publication number: 20210321435
Abstract: The invention relates to a user equipment for being scheduled with uplink radio resources. The user equipment receives from a radio base station a first-stage uplink resource scheduling message, indicating uplink radio resources usable by the UE to perform an uplink transmission via an unlicensed cell. The receiver further receives a second-stage uplink resource scheduling message, which is related to the first-stage uplink resource scheduling message. Upon reception of the second-stage uplink resource scheduling message, a processor of the UE determines that an uplink transmission is scheduled in case the first-stage uplink resource scheduling message is valid. The first-stage uplink resource scheduling message is determined valid based on a determination as to whether an uplink transmission has been triggered by another second-stage uplink resource scheduling message within a predetermined time period prior to reception of the second-stage uplink resource scheduling message.

  • Publication number: 20210314121
Abstract: An integrated circuit includes control circuitry and transmitting circuitry. The control circuitry maps data or a reference signal onto resources including orthogonal subcarriers of a first numerology and a second numerology, which differ at least by subcarrier spacing and are frequency-multiplexed on a subcarrier basis. The control circuitry assigns no transmit power to at least one subcarrier located between a subcarrier of the first numerology and a subcarrier of the second numerology. The subcarriers of the second numerology include: inter-numerology-orthogonal subcarriers, each of which is centrally aligned with a subcarrier of the first numerology, and non-inter-numerology-orthogonal subcarriers not centrally aligned with any subcarrier of the first numerology and located between two adjacent subcarriers of the first numerology. The control circuitry assigns no transmit power to at least one of the non-inter-numerology-orthogonal subcarriers.

  • Publication number: 20210288745
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to transmitting transport blocks in subframes of a predefined length within a wireless communication system. A downlink control information including a resource grant comprising a predetermined modulation and a predetermined transport block size is received (user equipment is the transmitter) or generated (base station is the transmitter). Then transport block including channel coded data to be transmitted in a subframe with the predetermined modulation and the predetermined transport block size is generated. Sensing is performed in the subframes and based thereon, it is determined whether a partial subframe or a complete subframe is available for transmission of the generated transport block. Finally, the transport block is transmitted with a modified modulation different from the predetermined modulation if the partial rather than complete subframe is available.

  • Publication number: 20210288861
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to adaptive modulation and coding scheme selection and signaling in a communication system. In particular, a modulation and coding scheme to be used for transmission of a data is selected from a set of predetermined modulation and coding schemes. The predetermination of the set is performed by selecting the set from a plurality of predefined sets. The sets have the same size, so that a modulation and coding selection indicator signaled to select the modulation and coding scheme may be advantageously applied to any of the selected sets. Moreover, a second set includes schemes with a modulation not covered by the schemes of a first set, and which is of a higher order than any modulation in the first set.
