  • Patent number: 11766529
Abstract: A device for inhaling powdery substances contained in capsules has a housing, a capsule receiver, a closing cover, a mouth piece, and a closure cap. The closure cap is designed to cover simultaneously the mouthpiece, closing cover and capsule receiver, wherein the closure cap, mouthpiece and closing cover are hinged in a pivoting manner. Two pivot axes, which are different but run in the same direction, are formed, which, in respect of a side view in which geometric axes of the pivot axes are represented in the form of points, are arranged next to each other and on a same side of the capsule receiver. In a usage state of the device, the first pivot axis is arranged closer to the capsule receiver. The closing cover and the mouthpiece can be pivoted about the first pivot axis and only the closure cap can be pivoted about the second pivot axis.

  • Patent number: 11351316
Abstract: A handheld device for dispensing a pharmaceutical substance has a housing in which a storage container with the pharmaceutical substance and a counter are arranged. The storage container dispenses the pharmaceutical substance by pressure actuation by a user after a specified displacement path has been traversed, and the counter carries out an action in order to rotate a counter wheel of the counter on the basis of the displacement path being traversed. The counter additionally has a drive part rotates the counter wheel, and the counter wheel is rotatably attached to a mounting part. The mounting part is formed independently of the housing, and the drive part is directly attached to the mounting part. The handheld device advantageously dispenses a pharmaceutical substance in that the action is first carried out on the counter wheel of the counter upon the pressure actuation, and the pharmaceutical substance is then dispensed.

  • Publication number: 20220126035
Abstract: A device for inhaling powder-type substances includes a plurality of substance containers that can be moved successively into an emptying position, wherein the substance containers—which are not connected to one another—are accommodated in direct contact with one another in a guide unit attached to the device and can be moved by contact pressure propagating among the substance containers. The guide unit has a drive wheel with accommodating forms separated by drive teeth. The substance container in the emptying position is located in an accommodating form of the drive wheel. A substance container for a device for inhaling powder-type substances has two sub-regions, each separately having an amount of the substance, and both sub-regions have an openable, pierceable cover. A method for filling a device for inhaling powder-type substances uses a plurality of substance containers that can be moved successively into an emptying position.

  • Publication number: 20210316092
Abstract: A hand-held device for metered dispensing of sprayable substances, in particular inhaler medicaments, includes a housing and a cartridge which can be displaced into a dispensing position by a pressure application relative to the housing, wherein the housing has a mouthpiece, wherein the cartridge can be displaced initially into a ready-to-dispense position and a dispensing spray process can be triggered by sucking in, wherein the displacement of the cartridge can be executed by tensioning a spring supported on the housing and acting on the cartridge. The spring is displaced into the position to perform a spraying process, but is hindered by a counterforce that can be deactivated by application of a negative pressure through the mouthpiece of the hand-held device A valve flap is moved by the negative pressure and cancels a mechanical block of the movement of the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 10722664
Abstract: A hand operable inhalator for dispensing a powdery substance, in particular a pharmaceutical substance, with a supply chamber, a discharge channel and a dosing chamber, wherein the discharge channel protrudes into the supply chamber, and the dosing chamber and discharge channel can be moved relative to each other. In order to indicate an inhalator for dispensing a powdery substance that makes the dosing chamber advantageously fillable, the discharge channel can be rotated around a rotational axis, and that the dosing chamber can be filled while the discharge channel rotates. The inhalator can have a dosing chamber that can be moved from a closed into an open state and vice versa. The inhalator can have a discharge channel that incorporates a turbulence means, which has a helically running wall and is to carry a flow while discharging air provided with the substance.
