  • Patent number: 8620482
Abstract: An estimation unit can estimate, on a real-time basis, a maximum power generation capacity of a single cycle or combined cycle gas turbine power plant. For example, the actual power output and the maximum power generation capacity can be calculated relying on a mathematical process model. Subsequently, the calculated actual power output can be compared with the measured power output yielding a model-estimation error. Based on the model-estimation error, a correction signal can be deduced, to correct the calculated maximum power generation capacity. A controller can maintain a specified power reserve. The controller can use an estimate of the maximum power generation capacity as a reference, subtract a load offset, and apply the resulting signal as upper limit of the load set-point.

  • Patent number: 8514488
Abstract: A tube of a surgical microscope has a base part, intermediate part pivotable about a rotational axis on the base part, and an ocular part pivotable about a rotational axis on the intermediate part. The imaging beam path is guided through the base part, intermediate part and pivotable ocular part. The tube has a tube lens system which transfers a parallel imaging beam path into an intermediate image. The parallel imaging beam path enters via an opening in a connecting piece of the base part. The tube has a first displaceable mirror element movable about the rotational axis on the base part. The tube has a further displaceable mirror element movable on the intermediate part about the rotational axis. The first mirror element directs the imaging beam path to the further mirror element. The first mirror element and further mirror element are mounted in the imaging beam path between a lens unit having positive refractive power and a lens unit having negative refractive power.

  • Patent number: 7469909
Abstract: A chuck for receiving tools (1) that are operated by rotating around the axis thereof, particularly screwdriver bits, and having an insertion section (3) which is provided with a receiving cavity (2) having a non-circular cross-sectional area (3). The tool can be locked in the cavity (2) by a holding element (4) which is assigned to the cavity wall in order to prevent the tool from being withdrawn from the cavity (2). The holding element (4) can be deactivated by displacing an actuating member in a form of an actuating sleeve (5). The tool (1) rests backwards against the cavity (2). The tool (1) can be displaced from the resting position in the direction of the opening of the cavity (2) by actuating the actuating sleeve (5). In order to facilitate removal of the bit, the chuck also comprises components (15, 16, 17) for releasing the face (1) of the bit, and a magnet (9) which retains the bit in the cavity from the resting position.

  • Patent number: 7287449
Abstract: Screwing tool (1) having a grip (2) and a shank (3), which is received removably in a cavity (4) open toward an end of the grip (2) and which at its free end has an actuating portion (5). The shank (3) is retained in a position of use such that it is fixed in terms of rotation on the grip, to avoid sliding in the axial direction, by a retaining element (14) associated with the grip (2). The retaining element (14) can be displaced into a removal position by displacement of an actuating member (6) in order for the shank to be removed from the grip (2). In a storage position, a large part of the shank (3) is located in the cavity (4), where it is held by a holding element (H). The holding element (H) is releasable, so that part of the shank (3) can be moved out.

  • Patent number: 7063332
Abstract: A chuck (1) for tools, especially screwdriver bits with a polygonal section (2), has a polygonal cavity (3) for the insertion of the polygonal section (2). A wall (4) of the polygonal cavity (3) has a window (5) in which is disposed a pressure-piece (6) which can be displaced in the insertion direction (E) and which, in order to secure the inserted polygonal section (2) against being drawn out, is forced against the polygonal section (2), in a direction transverse to the insertion direction (E), by a sloping inner wall (9) of an actuating element. The actuating element is outside the window and is retained in a clamping position by a restoring spring (10), and, in a release position of the actuating element (7), moves aside out of the polygonal cavity (3) in order for the polygonal section (2) to be drawn out.
