  • Publication number: 20090249768
Abstract: HC feed control for feeding HC into exhaust gas upstream of an SOx trap 11 when a predetermined condition stands is executed. When an SOx trap amount is smaller than a predetermined amount, as HC feed control, first HC feed control feeding HC into the exhaust gas upstream of the SOx trap by a predetermined pattern is executed. When the SOx trap amount is larger than a predetermined amount, as HC feed control, second HC feed control feeding HC into the exhaust gas upstream of the SOx trap by a pattern different from the predetermined pattern, which pattern keeping the temperature of the SOx trap from locally becoming higher than the predetermined temperature or suppressing the formation of a region in the exhaust gas flowing into the SOx trap where the air-fuel ratio becomes locally rich, is executed.

  • Publication number: 20090241524
Abstract: To provide a particulate matter purifying device which is capable of providing excessive deposition of particulate matter. In the particulate matter purifying device, a catalyst element 11 is carried on a porous filter substrate 10 through which an exhaust gas passes. The particulate matter purifying device traps particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas, and oxidizing the trapped particulate matter to remove. This particulate matter purifying device is characterized in that active oxygen producing fine particles 12 are carried on a surface of the filter substrate 10 between the catalyst elements 11. Therefore, the particulate matter is partially damaged by the active oxygen produced by the active oxygen producing fine particles 12. Consequently, oxidization of the particulate matter is promoted so that deposition of the particulate matter is prevented or minimized.

  • Patent number: 7148894
Abstract: An object is to provide an image generation system and program which can realize a realistic, variable and natural representation of motion with less data. When the forearm (14) of an enemy character is hit, the forearm (14) is moved through a physical simulation by a vector of hitting force FH0. At the same time, vectors of hitting force FH1 to FH4 are sequentially transmitted to the brachium (16), chest (18) and hip (20) which are parent parts for the forearm (14) while their magnitude being sequentially attenuated. These vectors of hitting force FH1 to FH4 move these parent parts to generate a motion of the object. A rotational resistance force depending on its angular velocity and a restoring force for returning the part to its default posture act on each of the parts. When the object is hit, the play of motion based on motion data is switched to the generation of motion through the physical simulation.
