  • Patent number: 6634948
Abstract: The objective is to provide a game system and an information storage medium that enable another player to enter into a game space that a first player is playing in, at any time during the game. When a 2P player issues a request to join into a game within a first game space, while a 1P player is already playing the game in the first game space, that request is accepted. Reconstruction information for reconstructing the first game space is created and sent to a second game machine. The second game machine reconstructs the first game space based on this reconstruction information, so that the 2P player can play the game within the reconstructed game space. This enables the 2P player to join into a game within the first game space, at any time during the game.

  • Patent number: 6532015
Abstract: An image generation system and program for implementing motion representation with variety while using a motion play technique based on motion data. The present invention performs a first motion correction in which a head or gun of an enemy character is turned toward a player (or player's character or virtual camera) and a second motion correction in which the skeleton shape of the enemy character is slightly changed when the enemy character is hit by a shot. In the second motion correction, the skeleton shape is slightly changed by using a restoring force for returning the skeleton shape to its original form and hit information (hitting force and direction) while gradually reducing the amount of slight change of the skeleton shape as time passes. The position and rotation angle of the base (or body coordinate system) of the enemy character are fixed to those specified by the motion data.

  • Publication number: 20020193556
Abstract: A polyester having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 200,000, a hydroxyl value of 30 to 200 mgKOH/g, an acid value of not larger than 5 mgKOH/g and a glass transition temperature of 35 to 60° C., which is obtained by polycondencing a polycarboxylic acid ingredient comprising as a principal ingredient a polycarboxylic acid compound selected from alicyclic polycarboxylic acids and anhydrides thereof, which have a carboxyl group at each of adjacent two carbon atoms, with a polyhydric alcohol ingredient comprising as principal ingredients an alkylene glycol having 2 or 3 carbon atoms and a tetrahydric or higher-hydric alcohol. By incorporating a modifier for polymer, comprising this polyester as an effective ingredient, in a polymer, a polymer composition is obtained which gives a shaped article exhibiting improved adhesion to a thermosetting resin.

  • Patent number: 6379249
Abstract: An image generation device and an information storage medium that make it possible to increase the virtual realism and dramatic effect of a shooting, game in an efficient manner. A plurality of objects such as target objects are set within an object space, and a hit check is performed on shots from 1P and 2P players and the target objects. First and second viewpoints for the 1P and 2P players are controlled and images as seen from those first and second viewpoints are output to first and second display screens, respectively. Although the viewpoints of the 1P and 2P players are the same in the prior art, they can be made different in this game. The first and second viewpoints move along first and second movement paths, and the first and second viewpoints are controlled in such a manner that the first and second movement paths diverge when a given circumstance occurs.
