  • Patent number: 8391619
Abstract: Resolution of structural analysis using image data is improved. A method is provided including the steps of: acquiring data representing measured images and data representing a predetermined number of reference images (S103); generating data representing groups of derived images by changing a relative position of each of the measured images, evaluating similarity between the derived images and the reference images for each group of the derived images, and extracting a plurality of derived images highly similar to any one of the reference images, from each of the groups of the derived images (S105); classifying the extracted derived images into a plurality of groups on the basis of a spatial arrangement of the derived images, averaging the derived images classified into a common group to generate data representing a plurality of averaged images (S107); and determining a structure of a measurement object based on data representing the averaged images (S115).

  • Patent number: 6991225
Abstract: The present invention provides a sheet process device capable of performing a sheaf discharge operation to discharge sheaves of sheets stacked on a process tray to a stack tray, without discharging a next sheet to the process tray during the sheaf discharge operation and stopping an operation on a body side of an image formation apparatus. In the sheet process device, for example, in a case where an original consisting of six sheets of paper is carried, the first to third sheets are stacked on the process tray as they are without any designation, and the following fourth sheet is designated as a sheaf discharge sheet since it is the sheet two before the final sheet of the sheaf, whereby the sheaf discharge of the first to fourth sheets is performed. The fifth sheet after the sheaf discharge is designated as a wind sheet since a value of a wind counter has been set to be “2”.

  • Patent number: 6975424
Abstract: There is provided a data processing apparatus comprising an input means for inputting image data, a memory means for storing the data input by the input means, an output means for outputting the data stored in the memory means, by a predetermined operation, a judgment means for judging whether or not there is the data not yet output by the output means for a predetermined time in the memory means and a transfer means for transferring, in a case where the judgment means judged that there is the data not yet output for the predetermined time, the data stored in the memory means to an another device. Therefore, in a case where a user does not instruct to output the data for a long time and thus it must be kept storing the image data in the memory means, it can be prevented a conventional problem that another processes can not be performed for lack of a remaining free capacity in the memory means.

  • Patent number: 6965458
Abstract: The present invention provides an image formation apparatus to which a postprocess unit requiring a discharge condition that a transfer member of which image formation face is being turned downward is discharged and a binding position at a time of binding the member at its trailing edge is being at the left of the image formation face can be installed. On a platen glass, an original is carried in such a state as its read face is opposite to an upper face of the glass, and an image on the read face of the original is read by a scanner supported at a running read position when the original passes the running read position. Then, through a mirror image process, it is formed on an image formation face (upper face) of a sheet the read image of whcih direction is the same as that of the set original. When the image-formed sheet is discharged externally by the reverse sheet discharge control, the sheet is discharged in such a state as its face is being turned downward.

  • Publication number: 20030202829
Abstract: When sheets with images formed thereon from an image forming apparatus and a special sheet or sheets such as cover sheet(s) are arranged in alignment into a bundle of sheets, conveyance of the special sheet(s) from the stacking unit is started prior to conveyance of the sheets from the image forming apparatus, and the special sheet(s) is (are) temporarily halted on a conveyance path at a location intermediate between the stacking unit and a receiving unit, whereby no complicated operation by an operator is required and the productivity can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6603951
Abstract: In an image formation system which includes a finisher with an inserter having a tray for stacking the specific sheet on which an image such as a cover image was formed, and an image formation apparatus, a series of originals composed of plural pages is read from its head page in due order, the image based on the read original is formed on the sheet, the sheet stacked on the inserter is fed, the sheet from the inserter is reversed to set its image-formed face facedown, the sheet from a printer unit is reversed to set its image-formed face facedown. The sheet, the image-formed face of which was reversed facedown, is discharged from the printer unit to the finisher and, on the finisher, the sheet from the inserter is stacked as keeping its image-formed face facedown and the sheet from the printer unit is stacked as keeping its image-formed face facedown. The top and bottom of the image formed by the image forming apparatus corresponds to the top and bottom of the insert sheet.
