Abstract: Closed-loop systems and methods for controlling pH. The system includes a working electrode, a counter electrode, a reference electrode, a first ion-sensitive field-effect transistor (ISFET), a second ISFET, and an electronic controller. The working electrode, the counter electrode, the reference electrode, and a first sensing terminal of the first ISFET are immersible in an active solution. A second sensing terminal of the second ISFET is immersible in a reference solution. The electronic controller is configured to apply a first amount of current or voltage to the working electrode and determine a differential voltage between the first ISFET and the second ISFET. The electronic controller is also configured to set a second amount of current or voltage to reduce a difference between the differential voltage and a target voltage. The electronic controller is further configured to apply the second amount of current or voltage to the working electrode.

  • Patent number: 11225973
Abstract: Systems and methods to clamp an impeller on a shaft in a centrifugal compressor. The embodiments as disclosed herein may include clamping individual impeller independently to the shaft, which may reduce the tolerance stack-up effect of a plurality of impellers. The impeller can be clamped to the shaft by positioning, for example, a relatively stiff support (e.g. a shaft locknut) on a front side of the impeller. The impeller can also be clamped to the shaft by a relatively flexible support to compensate for e.g. thermal expansion/contraction of the impeller. The embodiments as disclosed herein are particularly suitable for a multi-stage impeller.

  • Patent number: 11176468
Abstract: In order to facilitate the entity resolution and entity activity tracking and indexing, systems and methods include receiving first source records from a first database and second source records from a record database. A candidate set of second source records is determined by a heuristic search in the set of second source records. A candidate pair feature vector associated with each candidate pair of first and second source records is generated. An entity matching machine learning model predicts matching first source records for each candidate second source record based on the respective candidate pair feature vector. An aggregate quantity associated with the matching first source records is aggregated from a quantity associated with each first source record, and a quantity index for each candidate second source record is determined based the aggregate quantities. Each quantity index is displayed to a user.

  • Publication number: 20210350877
Abstract: A point of care device, comprises a chamber configured to contain a swab. Once a swab is loaded, the device introduces a buffer into the chamber, then lyses cells collected by the swab. Probes such as padlock probes target a specified content such as a virus (e.g., SARS-CoV-2 RNA) and will bind, splint ligate, and rapidly isothermally amplify (e.g., using rolling circle amplification). Also described is a wastewater pathogen tracking dashboard and schema for detecting and tracking pathogen spread within communities by monitoring microbial and viral RNA.

  • Publication number: 20210340988
Abstract: Centrifugal compressors can incorporate a side stream flow of intermediate pressure vapor between stages of that compressor. The side stream flow can be controlled by a side stream injection port controlled by a capacity control valve that has a curved surface facing a flow of refrigerant from the first stage to the second stage. The capacity control valve can allow or obstruct flow through the side stream injection port. The capacity control valve can extend and retract in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of flow from the first stage impeller to the second stage impeller. The side stream injection port and the capacity control valve can be ring-shaped. The side stream injection port and the capacity control valve can allow at least some of the side stream to be introduced on a side of the capacity control valve opposite the curved surface.

  • Patent number: 11080388
Abstract: Images related to one or more attacks to a service provider system may be analyzed to improve the security of the service provider system. Each of the images may be segmented into multiple segments. Each of the segments is analyzed independently to determine whether the segment includes obfuscated data and if so, which one of the data obfuscation techniques was used to generate the obfuscated data. Additional information regarding the obfuscated data may be derived from other segments that include unobfuscated data and from the metadata of the image. A data restoration algorithm may be configured accordingly to restore the obfuscated data. The restored data, as well as a context derived for the image, may be used to adjust one or more security parameters of the service provider system to improve the security of the service provider system.

  • Patent number: 11080367
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products that enable system-wide probabilistic forecasting, alerting, optimizing and activating resources in the delivery of care to address both immediate (near real-time) conditions as well as probabilistic forecasted operational states of the system over an interval that is selectable from the current time to minutes, hours and coming days or weeks ahead are provided. There are multiple probabilistic future states that are implemented in these different time intervals and these may be implemented concurrently for an instant in time control, near term, and long term. Those forecasts along with their optimized control of hospital capacity may be independently calculated and optimized, such as for a dynamic workflow direction over the next hour and also a patient's stay over a period of days.

  • Patent number: 10978126
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for operating a ferroelectric memory cell or cells are described. A ground reference scheme may be employed in a digit line voltage sensing operation. A positive voltage may be applied to a memory cell; and after a voltage of the digit line of the cell has reached a threshold, a negative voltage may be applied to cause the digit line voltages to center around ground before a read operation. In another example, a first voltage may be applied to a memory cell and then a second voltage that is equal to an inverse of the first voltage may be applied to a reference capacitor that is in electronic communication with a digit line of the memory cell to cause the digit line voltages to center around ground before a read operation.
