Patent number: 10309128Abstract: Improvements to a changeable lock-cover are disclosed herein. The lock-cover operates with a combination or with a separate version/configuration for a key type lock. Minor geometry differences can be accommodated with the housing that can be made out of a hard plastic or a flexible material that conforms around the lock. The retention of the housing is with magnets, snaps or other temporary securing mechanism. A person can pull apart the closure to mover the cover to another lock or to change the cover to a different color or style. The face or indicia can take a number of different configurations including, but not limited to letters, colors, faces, insignias, moving components, lights, pictures and others. The mechanism that retains the cover together is stronger than the mechanism that holds to face or indicia onto the housing.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2017Date of Patent: June 4, 2019Inventor: Carrington D. Horton

Publication number: 20160260519Abstract: A mixture of poly(vinyl halide) and epoxidized benzyl fatty acid ester, preferably epoxidized benzyl soyate (EBS), is disclosed. The epoxidized benzyl fatty acid ester as a plasticizer replaces common high molecular weight phthalates, such as diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP), which are conventionally used for the manufacture of wire and cable insulation and jacketing. The epoxidized benzyl fatty acid ester, a bio-plasticizer, unexpectedly outperforms the higher molecular weight DIDP as demonstrated by superior retention of Strain at Break after accelerated aging at elevated temperatures.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 23, 2014Publication date: September 8, 2016Applicant: PolyOne CorporationInventors: Stephen D. Publication number: 20150260247Abstract: A braking system includes a brake charge module, an accumulator, and a pressure sensor coupled to the accumulator. The braking system further includes a brake actuator to selectively actuate a brake member based on a fluid pressure inside the brake actuator. The braking system further includes a brake valve disposed between the brake actuator and the accumulator. The brake valve is configured to regulate a flow of the pressurized fluid between the accumulator and the brake actuator. The braking system further includes a controller coupled to the pressure sensor and the brake valve. The controller is configured to determine a low-energy state of the accumulator based on the signal from the pressure sensor and maintain at least a pre-determined threshold value of fluid pressure within the brake actuator to retain the brake member at a touch up position with respect to a rotating member.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2014Publication date: September 17, 2015Applicant: Caterpillar Inc.Inventor: Brian D.
