  • Patent number: 11074018
Abstract: Embodiments include a load calculator, a workload analyzer, and a decision module. The load calculator generates an input/output (IO) record for an asset. The IO record includes a count of read operations and write operations corresponding to the asset from each of a plurality of sites. The workload analyzer collects the IO record and generates at least one of a write threshold and a read threshold. The decision module generates a request for at least one of a promotion and a copy of the asset in response to a determination that an operation has reached at least one of the write threshold and the read threshold for the asset.

  • Publication number: 20210180772
Abstract: A reflector unit may behave as a retroreflector to reflect light of a selected color. The reflector unit may comprise a first reflector having a first color, a second reflector having a second color, and a mask that either allows incoming light to reach the first reflector and not the second reflector or allows incoming light to reach the second reflector and not the first reflector. An active light unit may emit light of a particular color in response to receiving light. In this fashion, the active light unit may simulate the operation of a reflector. The reflector unit and the active light unit may operate on a bi-directional vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11034254
Abstract: A system for charging one or more batteries of a vehicle may include a charging box mounted to a vehicle to facilitate connection to a charge coupler from under the vehicle. The charge coupler may be configured to provide an electrical connection between an electrical power source and the charging box. A vehicle including the charging box may maneuver to a position above the charge coupler, after which electrical contacts of the charging box and the charge coupler may be brought into contact with one another. The charge coupler and/or the charging box may be configured to provide electrical communication between the electrical power source and the one or more batteries, so that the electrical power source may charge one or more of the batteries. Thereafter, the electrical contacts may be separated from one another, and the vehicle may maneuver away from the charge coupler.

  • Patent number: 10838650
Abstract: The system includes a data synchronization module and a heat data module. The data synchronization module is configured to communicate with a first storage volume and a second storage volume to provide a backup for the first storage volume by synchronizing information from the first storage volume to the second storage volume. The information includes at least one of data chunks, heat map data, and first metadata relating to the first storage volume. The heat data module is coupled to the second storage volume to read the first metadata and the heat map data and adjust a location of at least one of the data chunks in the second storage volume based on the heat map data.

  • Publication number: 20200215694
Abstract: Provided are dynamic region division and region passage identification methods and a cleaning robot. The dynamic region division method includes: acquiring environment information collected by a robot when working in a first region; determining whether the robot has completed a work task in the first region, when a presence of a passage entering a second region is determined based on the environment information; and complementing a boundary at the passage to block the passage, when the work task is not completed. According to the technical solution provided by the embodiment of the present application, the occurrence probability of repeated sweeping and miss sweeping is reduced, and the cleaning efficiency is high. In addition, the technical solution provided by the embodiment of the present application relies on the environment information collected during the work, rather than relying on historical map data, so that the environmental adaptability is high.

  • Patent number: 10678456
Abstract: This disclosure provides a method, a computing system and a computer program product for managing storage capacity usage in a storage system. For each of a plurality of logical storage arrays in the storage system, a Remaining Time Buffer (RTB) measure indicating time to use up respective free space currently available to the logical storage array is calculated. Respective free space currently available to each of one or more of the plurality of logical storage arrays is adjusted, so that the RTB measures of the one or more logical storage arrays satisfy a threshold.
