  • Patent number: 11964676
Abstract: A control command is provided to a vehicle control module that identifies one or more vehicle actions to be performed by the vehicle control module to control a position of an autonomous vehicle (AV) with respect to an external environment. Whether one or more conditions pertaining to the position of the AV with respect to the external environment are satisfied is determined. Responsive to determining that the one or more conditions pertaining to the position of the AV with respect to the external environment are satisfied, a first instruction is provide to the vehicle control module that permits the vehicle control module to deviate from the one or more vehicle actions identified in the control command and to perform an energy saving action with respect to the AV.

  • Publication number: 20240085623
Abstract: According to various embodiments, an array of elements forms an artificially-structured material. The artificially-structured material can also include an array of tuning mechanisms included as part of the array of elements that are configured to change material properties of the artificially-structured material on a per-element basis. The tuning mechanisms can change the material properties of the artificially-structured material by changing operational properties of the elements in the array of elements on a per-element basis based on one or a combination of stimuli detected by sensors included in the array of tuning mechanisms, programmable circuit modules included as part of the array of tuning mechanisms, data stored at individual data stores included as part of the array of tuning mechanisms, and communications transmitted through interconnects included as part of the array of elements.

  • Patent number: 11922629
Abstract: Various example embodiments are described in which an anisotropic encoder-decoder convolutional neural network architecture is employed to process multiparametric magnetic resonance images for the generation of cancer predication maps. In some example embodiments, a simplified anisotropic encoder-decoder convolutional neural network architecture may include an encoder portion that is deeper than a decoder portion. In some example embodiments, simplified network architectures may be combined with test-time-augmentation in order to facilitate training and testing with a minimal number of test subjects.

  • Publication number: 20230386756
Abstract: A method of producing a capacitor electrode includes forming an oxide layer on a foil. The method also includes heating the foil to a target temperature so as to induce defects in the oxide layer. The target temperature is about 450° C. to 560° C. and the duration of heating the foil to the target temperature is less than 4 minutes. The oxide layer is reformed so as to generate a reformed oxide layer that is an aluminum oxide with a boehmite phase and a pseudo-boehmite phase.

  • Patent number: 11791104
Abstract: Fabricating an electrode for capacitor includes performing a first set of one or more preliminary oxide formation operations on a sheet of material. The method also includes performing a capacitance test on the sheet of material so as to determine the capacitance of the sheet of material after the one or more preliminary oxide formation operations. The method proceeds on a first path in response to a first result of the capacitance test and on a second path in response to a second result of the capacitance test. The first path includes performing a second set of the one or more preliminary oxide formation operations on the sheet of material so as to reduce the capacitance of the sheet of material below the determined capacitance. The second path excludes performing any preliminary oxide formation operations on the sheet of material.

  • Publication number: 20230285761
Abstract: System, methods and devices are provided for identifying a failure state of a charge storage device. The system includes a charge storage device within an implantable medical device. An energy supply is configured to charge the charge storage device during a charging operation. A monitoring circuit is coupled to the charge storage device and is configured to collect voltage level measurements across the charge storage device at multiple points in time during the charging operation. Responsive to execution of program instructions, a processor collects the voltage level measurements across the charge storage device. The charge storage device exhibits a charge profile in which a voltage level across the charge storage device changes over the charging operation. The processor analyzes the voltage level measurements to identify a failure signature in the charge profile and generates an output indicative of a failure state for the charge storage device based on the analysis.

  • Patent number: 11545307
Abstract: A capacitor is fabricated by generating a sheet of material that has a first active region that includes tunnels extending into an electrode metal. The sheet of material has a first inactive region that includes the electrode metal but does not include the tunnels extending into the electrode metal. The first inactive region has a first shape that includes multiple first projections that each projects from a perimeter of a circle. An electrode is removed from the sheet of material such that the electrode includes a portion of the inactive region. Additionally or alternately, fabricating a capacitor include using a first etching solution to etch a first sheet of material so as to generate a spent etchant. At least one chemical component is recovered from the spent etchant. A second etching solution is used to etch a second sheet of material. The second etchant includes at least one of the chemical components that was recovered from the spent etchant.
