  • Patent number: 11895137
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a data analysis system that may automatically generate memory-efficient clustered data structures, automatically analyze those clustered data structures, and provide results of the automated analysis in an optimized way to an analyst. The automated analysis of the clustered data structures (also referred to herein as data clusters) may include an automated application of various criteria or rules so as to generate a compact, human-readable analysis of the data clusters. The human-readable analyses (also referred to herein as “summaries” or “conclusions”) of the data clusters may be organized into an interactive user interface so as to enable an analyst to quickly navigate among information associated with various data clusters and efficiently evaluate those data clusters in the context of, for example, a fraud investigation. Embodiments of the present disclosure also relate to automated scoring of the clustered data structures.

  • Patent number: 11849760
Abstract: An electronic cigarette (“e-Cig”) may include functionality for monitoring and controlling the thermal properties of the e-Cig. The system and method described herein may monitor a temperature based on a resistor (i.e. hot wire) near the wick and model the thermal cycle of an e-Cig. The model can be used for controlling the temperature of the e-Cig and preventing burning. The temperature control may dictate optimal conditions for atomization and smoke generation in an e-Cig while avoiding hotspots and burning to the atomizer or cartomizer.

  • Patent number: 11842161
Abstract: Methods and systems for enhanced natural language processing of clinical documentation are provided. Using natural language processing, a clinical condition is extracted from unstructured data within a current electronic document. A clinical ontology identifying itemsets associated with the clinical condition is retrieved, and indicators of relevant clinical concepts, as identified from the ontology, are searched from within the patient's longitudinal record, which comprises documentation from at least a prior encounter. Based on the whether the clinical concepts are present in the patent's record, a confidence is assigned to the NLP-extracted clinical condition, and one or more actions may be performed.

  • Patent number: 11776237
Abstract: Systems, methods, and software are described herein for removing people distractors from images. A distractor mitigation solution implemented in one or more computing devices detects people in an image and identifies salient regions in the image. The solution then determines a saliency cue for each person and classifies each person as wanted or as an unwanted distractor based at least on the saliency cue. An unwanted person is then removed from the image or otherwise reduced from the perspective of being an unwanted distraction.

  • Patent number: 11776214
Abstract: A 3D reconstruction method including obtaining a first open triangulated surface consisting of triangles of a tetrahedral meshing of a point cloud and determining a second open triangulated surface. The determining explores candidate open triangulated surfaces each being a set of triangles of the meshing and penalizes a high rank of the candidates according to a lexicographic order based on a triangle order and ordering a candidate having triangles decreasingly ordered according to a triangle order penalizing triangle size, relative to another candidate having triangles decreasingly ordered according to the triangle order. The second surface violates consistency of a labelling of the meshing with two labels. A triangle respects labelling consistency when it belongs to the first surface and separates two tetrahedrons having different labels, or when it does not belong to the first surface and separates two tetrahedrons having a same label.

  • Publication number: 20230305627
Abstract: An eye tracking system can include an eye-tracking camera configured to obtain images of the eye at different exposure times or different frame rates. For example, longer exposure images of the eye taken at a longer exposure time can show iris or pupil features, and shorter exposure, glint images can show peaks of glints reflected from the cornea. The shorter exposure glint images may be taken at a higher frame rate (than the longer exposure images) for accurate gaze prediction. The shorter exposure glint images can be analyzed to provide glint locations to subpixel accuracy. The longer exposure images can be analyzed for pupil center or center of rotation. The eye tracking system can predict future gaze direction, which can be used for foveated rendering by a wearable display system. In some instances, the eye-tracking system may estimate the location of a partially or totally occluded glint.

  • Patent number: 11759350
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for manipulating the temperature of a surface are provided. Devices of the present disclosure may include a thermal adjustment apparatus, such as a controller in electrical communication with one or more thermoelectric materials, placed adjacent to the surface of skin. The device may generate a series of thermal pulses at the surface, for providing an enhanced thermal sensation for a user. The thermal pulses may be characterized by temperature reversibility, where each pulse includes an initial temperature adjustment, followed by a return temperature adjustment, over a short period of time (e.g., less than 120 seconds). The average rate of temperature change upon initiation and upon return may be between about 0.1° C./sec and about 10.0° C./sec. In some cases, the average rate of the initial temperature adjustment is greater in magnitude than the average rate of the return temperature adjustment.

  • Patent number: 11756208
Abstract: In implementations of object boundary generation, a computing device implements a boundary system to receive a mask defining a contour of an object depicted in a digital image, the mask having a lower resolution than the digital image. The boundary system maps a curve to the contour of the object and extracts strips of pixels from the digital image which are normal to points of the curve. A sample of the digital image is generated using the extracted strips of pixels which is input to a machine learning model. The machine learning model outputs a representation of a boundary of the object by processing the sample of the digital image.
