  • Patent number: 11100289
Abstract: Methods and systems for enhanced natural language processing of clinical documentation are provided. Using natural language processing, a clinical condition is extracted from unstructured data within a current electronic document. A clinical ontology identifying itemsets associated with the clinical condition is retrieved, and indicators of relevant clinical concepts, as identified from the ontology, are searched from within the patient's longitudinal record, which comprises documentation from at least a prior encounter. Based on the whether the clinical concepts are present in the patent's record, a confidence is assigned to the NLP-extracted clinical condition, and one or more actions may be performed.

  • Patent number: 10969862
Abstract: An eye movement tracking device that can be mounted to standard eyeglasses as disclosed. The device comprises an illumination source, a time-of-flight (TOF) camera and a processor. The source transmits energy within a frequency band from a location proximate to an eye of a person, such that at least a first portion of the transmitted energy is reflected off a lens of eyewear worn by the person to subsequently reflect off the eye, and such that at least a second portion of the transmitted energy is transmitted through the lens to reflect off objects in the person's environment. The TOF camera detects reflections of at least the first portion of the transmitted energy, and distinguishes them from other energy detected by the TOF camera in said frequency band, based on TOF principles. The processor uses the detected reflections of the first portion of the transmitted energy to determine eye position.

Abstract: Methods and devices for manipulating the temperature of a surface are generally provided. The present disclosure relates to a device including one or more heating and/or cooling elements, or other suitable thermal adjustment apparatus(es), placed near a surface, such as the skin of a user. The device may be configured to generate one or more (optionally alternating) thermal profiles at the surface, which may include a series of thermal pulses and/or essentially continuous or semi-continuous thermal input, which may vary over time. Such thermal profiles, when suitably applied, may provide enhanced thermal sensations for a user which, in some cases, may provide the user with a more pleasurable thermal experience than would otherwise be the case without the generation of the thermal profiles. In some embodiments, an alternating thermal profile may include an average frequency, an oscillation window, and/or an average temperature, each of which may be adjustable.

In some embodiments, a haptic actuator may be automatically activated when one or more detected user states are compared to one or more predetermined activation parameters to determine the user is experiencing an episode related to a condition of the user. In another embodiment, one or more operating parameters of a haptic actuator may be updated if the haptic actuator did not provided a desired amount of subjective symptom relief to a user during use. In yet another embodiment, a haptic actuator may create an event log based on activation events when the haptic actuator is used to provide symptom relief for a condition of the user.

  • Publication number: 20210004975
Abstract: A method for determining a distance to a target object includes transmitting light pulses to illuminate the target object and sensing, in a first region of a light-sensitive pixel array, light provided from an optical feedback device that receives a portion of the transmitted light pulses. The feedback optical device includes a preset reference depth. The method includes calibrating time-of-flight (TOF) depth measurement reference information based on the sensed light in the first region of the pixel array. The method further includes sensing, in a second region of the light-sensitive pixel array, light reflected from the target object from the transmitted light pulses. • Publication number: 20200396237
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a data analysis system that may automatically generate memory-efficient clustered data structures, automatically analyze those clustered data structures, and provide results of the automated analysis in an optimized way to an analyst. The automated analysis of the clustered data structures (also referred to herein as data clusters) may include an automated application of various criteria or rules so as to generate a compact, human-readable analysis of the data clusters. The human-readable analyses (also referred to herein as “summaries” or “conclusions”) of the data clusters may be organized into an interactive user interface so as to enable an analyst to quickly navigate among information associated with various data clusters and efficiently evaluate those data clusters in the context of, for example, a fraud investigation. Embodiments of the present disclosure also relate to automated scoring of the clustered data structures.
