  • Patent number: 7703036
Abstract: An improved user interface is provided for displaying selectable software functionality controls that are relevant to a selected object and that remain visibly available for use while the selected object is being edited. Upon selection of a particular object for editing, functionality available for editing the object is presented in a ribbon-shaped user interface above the software application workspace to allow the user ready and efficient access to functionality needed for editing the selected object. The display of relevant functionality controls is persisted until the user dismisses the display, selects another top-level functionality control or selects another object for editing.

  • Publication number: 20100087792
Abstract: The invention provides a switching device for an irrigation system. The switching device provides selective communication between a supply port to which a supply of fluid under pressure can be attached and a balloon port to which a fixing balloon of a catheter can be attached, and between the supply port and a port to which a liquid reservoir can be attached. By use of a selection handle, the user can deform conduits in a pre-determined sequence and thus control an irrigation procedure by opening and closing fluid flow in various conduits. The invention further provides an irrigation device incorporating the switching device and a method of controlling a fluid flow e.g. in an irrigation system.

  • Publication number: 20090319927
Abstract: A document checking system is presented that provides an asynchronous scan of a document for errors and presents a rich user interface to the user that provides information about the error and how to fix it. While the user is accessing the document, the document checking system scans the document to identify one or more violations of a set of rules. The system locates a context within the document for each identified rule violation and determines one or more steps for remedying each rule violation. The system displays a report that includes the identified rule violations along with detailed information about the context of each rule violation and how to fix it.

  • Publication number: 20090223505
Abstract: An oven rack system has a two piece oven rack (100) with a cooking rack (102) and a base rack (104). The base rack (104) is adapted to remain stationary and may be positioned on ledges or other protrusions associated with inner liners of oven cavities. In one embodiment, a pair of angled pieces (118) extend between outer lateral braces (114) and a rear brace (106). The cooking rack (102) is adapted to slide on and be extendable relative to the base rack (104). The cooking rack (102) includes angled pieces (140) extending between the lateral braces (132) and the rear brace (130). A user can exert manual forces on the cooking rack (102) so as to move the cooking rack (102) in an extended or retracted position relative to the base rack (104). The movement occurs in the absence of the requirement of any type of ball bearings, rollers, or any other rotatable or rolling elements.

  • Publication number: 20070174686
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for non-interruptively updating firmware on a redundant hardware controller. The apparatus includes a routing module, a receiving module, and a forwarding module. The routing module routes communications between a redundant hardware controller and a service processor associated with a flash update. The receiving module receives a flash command for the flash update from the service processor via a shared serial connection. The forwarding module forwards the flash command via a dedicated point to point connection to the redundant hardware controller configured to receive the flash command over the point to point connection. The apparatus, system, and method provide a non-interruptive overlay of the firmware image on a redundant hardware controller, minimizing system downtime and user intervention.

  • Publication number: 20070154549
Abstract: The present invention is directed to multiparticulate formulations for oral use, preferably comprising one or more therapeutically active agents. In particular, the present invention relates to fast melt formulations which are capable of masking the taste of the active agent, by virtue of one or more tastemasking measures, whilst retaining the desired drug dissolution profile and good mouthfeel. The multiparticulate formulations of the invention can be used in a multiple dose delivery device which dispenses a unit dose of the powder upon actuation, or can be packaged for dispensation in sachets or like unit dose containers.

  • Publication number: 20070124685
Abstract: A technique for supporting a user of a first device coupled to a second device of a support agent. A current screen image of the first device is sent to the second device. The second device displays the current screen image of the first device. The agent device determines the position of an input icon to be displayed on the current screen image, and the position is sent to the first device. The first device displays an input icon on the current screen image on the first device based on the position. The second device also determines how the user should operate the input icon on the first device. Corresponding operation information is transferred to the first device.

  • Publication number: 20070100879
Abstract: An example of a method for error tracking includes sending a data object to a first location. This example also includes determining if the data object was successfully stored at the first location, and if so, storing meta data corresponding with the data object, wherein the meta data includes first path information. This example of the method also includes sending the data object to a second location. This example further includes determining if the data object was successfully stored at the second location, and if so, adding second path information to the meta data corresponding with the data object, to update the meta data. Some examples of the invention may be called a data centric error tracking and problem analysis method (and system), because the error tracking is generally based on the path traveled by the data.

  • Publication number: 20070006206
Abstract: When a user interface of a parent software application is modified such that user interface components of an add-in application are not compatible with the parent application user interface, user interface components associated with functionalities of the add-in application are added to the modified parent application user interface. A prior user interface of the parent application to which the add-in application user interface components are added is run in a background of the parent application and is not visible to users. User interface components in the parent application user interface are linked to corresponding add-in application user interface components in the prior user interface. Selection of a user interface component from the present user interface that is associated with an add-in application functionality causes selection of a corresponding user interface component in the background user interface, and the associated add-in functionality is executed.
