  • Publication number: 20070000584
Abstract: The golf club charm identifiers are a set of customized icons for personalizing a set of golf clubs with head covers and identifying the covered clubs. Each icon is provided in a predetermined dimension and a predetermined shape having an aperture for receiving a connector, such as a split key ring and the like. Each icon may also have a predetermined color for further personalization and club identification. Each connector is attachable to a fabric loop affixed to a golf club cover. The icons personalize the covers and symbolize the underlying club in order to identify the covered club. Each icon is formed with a selected shape for personalization of a set of golf clubs and provides a non-numeric symbol objectively representing the underlying club. Charms identifying a club may be further personalized by having a pet name, a shape different from the rest, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20060150556
Abstract: A system and method for the rapid precision forming of complex precast shapes using a slip form table comprising a slip form assembly and a lift master. The slip-form assembly has a replaceable forming face secured to a compressible backing material which is supported by a rigid slip-form. The lift master has a base master cast in the shape of the desired final cast block, with integral cast lift beams. A drive mechanism raises and lowers the base master relative to the slip-form assembly. The table has a leg and tie-down support. The slip form table may support a single block casting operation, or may support multi-stack casting. The lift master and slip-form may be precision concrete castings.

  • Patent number: 7052056
Abstract: A bumper system includes a bumper beam having a face and ends, and an energy absorber mounted on the face. The energy absorber has a one-piece injection-molded non-foam piece with box sections and interconnecting straps, and a one-piece or multi-piece foam component securely insert-molded onto the injection-molded non-foam piece. Different foam molds can be used to form differently shaped front surfaces on the foam component. By this arrangement, different energy absorbing systems are provided for vehicles, such as to satisfy the need for different styling and shapes, while still using the same non-foam piece. By this arrangement, the energy absorber is a single unit that can be handled and attached to the bumper beam. At the same time, capital investment in molding dies and tooling is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20060025006
Abstract: A retaining system (1) that retains the front portion of a cable (7) in a connector housing (3). A sleeve device (21) has a base (25) with a hole (34) through which the cable extends, and has a pair of arms (27) with part-cylindrical inner surfaces that press against the cable to grip it. The arms have rear ends with recess (31). When the sleeve device is pushed fully forward into the connector housing, a bridging device (23) is pushed through an opening (15) into the housing. Legs (37) of the bridging element are inserted into the arm recesses (31) and prevent pull-out of the sleeve device and cable.

  • Publication number: 20050252501
Abstract: A sharpening apparatus having a slightly convexly or concavely curved abrasive surface, for use in sharpening woodworking tools or in other fields requiring such processing of precision parts or tools. The invention may further employ either cylindrical or conic abrasive surfaces. Cylindrical abrasive surfaces are desirable when a curvature of a fixed radius is desired, or where accuracy of the curvature radius is required. Conic or semi-conic surfaces may be used to enable a user, by means of short sharpening strokes, to achieve an approximate desired curvature among a range of possible curvatures provided along the length of the abrasive surface as the curvature radius progressively declines. In this way, one abrasive surface may be used to achieve a variety of curvatures.

  • Patent number: 6963291
Abstract: A dynamic wake avoidance system utilizes aircraft and atmospheric parameters readily available in flight to model and predict airborne wake vortices in real time. A novel combination of algorithms allows for a relatively simple yet robust wake model to be constructed based on information extracted from a broadcast. The system predicts the location and movement of the wake based on the nominal wake model and correspondingly performs an uncertainty analysis on the wake model to determine a wake hazard zone (no fly zone), which comprises a plurality of “wake planes,” each moving independently from another. The system selectively adjusts dimensions of each wake plane to minimize spatial and temporal uncertainty, thereby ensuring that the actual wake is within the wake hazard zone. The predicted wake hazard zone is communicated in real time directly to a user via a realistic visual representation.
