  • Publication number: 20210330228
Abstract: A minimal action, invasive blood constituent device can streamline the process for the self-monitoring of blood-related tests by holding and facilitating the use of some or all of the tools for obtaining and testing a blood sample. The device can include a slider, that when pumped, causes the device to spring-load a lancet and eject a testing strip. The device can include a trigger that, when pressed, activates the lancet by unloading the spring. A strip-lancet apparatus can combine the roles of two disposable products—a testing strip and a lancing needle—into an apparatus that can be configured for piercing the testing site as well as receiving the blood sample. A testing strip apparatus can facilitate the use and/or disposal of testing strips. A lancet apparatus can facilitate the use and/or disposal of lancets.

  • Patent number: 11155865
Abstract: The invention relate to systems and methods for sequencing polynucleotides, as well as detecting reactions and binding events involving other biological molecules. The systems and methods may employ chamber-free devices and nanosensors to detect or characterize such reactions in high-throughput. Because the system in many embodiments is reusable, the system can be subject to more sophisticated and improved engineering, as compared to single use devices.

  • Publication number: 20210236729
Abstract: A system which provides closed loop insulin administration is disclosed. The system includes redundant glucose sensors which may be interleaved in order to provide monitoring when one of the glucose sensors is in a settling period. The system may include a disease management unit which includes both a glucose sensor and an insulin pump. A closed loop disease management system which bases insulin administration on accurate glucose measurements may improve a patient's quality of life.

  • Publication number: 20210113121
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for enabling a plurality of non-invasive, physiological sensors to obtain physiological measurements from essentially the same, overlapping, or proximate regions of tissue of a patient are disclosed. Each of a plurality of sensors can be integrated with or attached to a multi-sensor apparatus and can be oriented such that each sensor is directed towards, or can obtain a measurement from, the same or a similar location.

  • Publication number: 20190387050
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing tasks in a multi-platform environment are provided. The methods include allocating a set of tasks to a server device; receiving a request for servicing one or more tasks; determining whether rules that are applicable to the tasks have been satisfied; and, based on the determination regarding the rules, either automatically servicing the tasks or transmitting the tasks to the server device for servicing and then receiving a notification of completion of the tasks. Additional tasks may be allocated to additional server devices.
