  • Patent number: 11773799
Abstract: A method, performed by a control device, for starting a combustion engine during free-wheeling with engine off is described. The method comprises a step of controlling the clutch to a partially closed state, thereby starting the combustion engine; a step of controlling the clutch to an open state when the combustion engine has started, but prior to the output shaft of the combustion engine has reached a rotational speed synchronized with the rotational speed of the input shaft of the gearbox; and a step of synchronizing the speed of the combustion engine to the speed of the input shaft of the gearbox through control of fuel injection to the combustion engine.

  • Publication number: 20230159991
Abstract: This disclosure provides, inter alia, a probe system probe system for analyzing a nucleic acid sample. In some embodiments, the probe system may comprise: a set of identifier oligonucleotides of sequence B, a set of splint oligonucleotides of formula X?-A?-B?-Z?, wherein sequence A? is complementary to a genomic fragment and sequence B? is complementary to at least one member of the set of identifier oligonucleotides, and one or more probe sequences comprising X and Z. Each splint oligonucleotide is capable of hybridizing to the probe sequences, a member of the set of identifier oligonucleotides and a genomic fragment, thereby producing a ligatable complex of formula X-A-B-Z. The probe system can be used to identify a chromosome aneuploidy in cell free DNA, for example.

  • Patent number: 10507840
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for control of a combustion engine in a vehicle. At least one future speed profile for an actual speed of the vehicle during a road section is simulated based on information about the road section, and that coasting will be applied during the road section. An applicability for coasting during the road section is evaluated. Subsequently, it is evaluated whether the combustion engine may be shut down during a coasting for at least a part of the road section. The evaluation of the shutdown of the combustion engine is based on whether one or several system conditions for engine shutdown have been met, on one or several properties for one or several brake systems in the vehicle, and on a shutdown period, when the combustion engine could be shut down. The combustion engine is then controlled based on this evaluation.

  • Patent number: 10495013
Abstract: The present invention presents a method and a system for the control of preparatory measures during a road section, for at least one system. First, one or several parts of a road section are identified, during which parts one or several engines comprised in the vehicle may be shut down. Such identification is carried out when the road section is ahead of the vehicle, that is to say before the vehicle has entered the road section. The identification is based on available information about the road section. Subsequently it is determined whether at least one preparatory measure for at least one respective system in the vehicle needs to be carried out, in order to facilitate that one or several of the engines may be shut down. Subsequently, the preparatory measures are controlled based on the determination of the need to carry out the at least one preparatory measure.

  • Patent number: 10421454
Abstract: Provided is a method for propulsion of a vehicle, said vehicle comprising at least one power source for providing power to at least one drive wheel of said vehicle. The method includes, when said vehicle is to be driven along a first path: determining a torque profile for use in controlling said first power source when driving said vehicle along at least a first segment of said first path; determining said torque profile on the basis of an estimated representation of a demand for torque when driving said vehicle along said first segment; when determining said torque profile, reducing variations in torque delivered by said power source by allowing increased variations in speed of said vehicle; and when said vehicle is driven along said first segment of said first path, controlling torque delivered by said at least one power source according to said determined torque profile.

  • Patent number: 10131227
Abstract: A method for an economical cruise control and an economical cruise control which demands from a vehicle engine system a reference speed vref, which may differ from a chosen set speed vset. Adjustment of at least the set speed vset is allowed when the reference speed vref differs from the set speed vset. The adjustment is based at least partly on input from a user of the economical cruise control. A user of the economical cruise control is thus provided with an increased feeling of control over the vehicle's speed.

  • Patent number: 10119488
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for control of a combustion engine in a vehicle. In operation, at least one future speed profile for an actual speed of the vehicle is simulated during a road section ahead based on information about the road section and on knowledge that coasting with the combustion engine shut down will be applied during the road section. Subsequently, based on the future speed profile, a starting point in time is determined, when the combustion engine will need to be started for forward driving the vehicle and/or to brake the vehicle. Subsequently, a starting point brought forward in time is determined based on the need for a forward driving or braking force arising, where the starting point brought forward in time precedes the starting point in time. Subsequently, the combustion engine is controlled to be started at the starting point brought forward in time.
