Publication number: 20100222259Abstract: The present inventors focused on certain nutritional compositions known to have activity of controlling blood glucose levels. These foods were administered to rats for long periods, and real-time PCR was used to analyze the expression of genes associated with lipid metabolism in the liver and adipose tissues. As a result, the present inventors found that the expression of the PPAR? gene is enhanced by these foods, and that this is accompanied by suppressed expression of fatty acid synthase and enhanced expression of a group of PPAR? target genes associated with fatty acid metabolism. The present inventors also confirmed the effect of these foods in enhancing the expression of PPAR? and adiponectin, and discovered that these foods have the activity of enhancing the production of PPAR and PPAR-associated factors.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2005Publication date: September 2, 2010Inventors: Hidekazu Arai, Eiji Takeda, Hajime Sasaki

Publication number: 20100174857Abstract: A data processor (1) has a central processing unit (3) and a memory controller (6) capable of controlling a memory (8) to be connected to an outside. The memory has a buffer capable of temporarily holding data within an address range corresponding to a predetermined bit number on a low order side of an address signal, and a burst operation for inputting/outputting data can be carried out by a data transfer between the buffer and the outside for an access request in which an access address is changed within the address range. When causing the memory to carry out the burst operation to give an access, the memory controller performs an access control for freely executing the burst operation of the memory continuously if it detects an access exceeding the address range. When causing the memory to carryout the burst access, the memory controller performs an access control for freely executing the burst operation of the memory continuously if it detects the access exceeding the address range.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 20, 2010Publication date: July 8, 2010Inventors: Masayoshi Horishima, Hajime Sasaki, Takashi Koshido

Patent number: 7552062Abstract: There is provided a process analysis method capable of clustering of executed processes and extraction of similar processes. A process analysis method of the present invention converts the similarity between processes into a numeric value as a metric by including a process matrix transform 12 and a metric calculation 14 for process records 11 made up of a series of records of rendered service of at least three elements of the time of service, the type of service, and the quantity of service. This enables the calculation of the similarity between processes as a metric from information of only a series of records of rendered services. Accordingly, it becomes possible to cluster the executed processes and to extract similar processes based on the metric herein calculated.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2002Date of Patent: June 23, 2009Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Yoshitaka Bito, Shigeo Sumino, Hajime Sasaki, Hitoshi Matsuo, Yoshiyuki Nakayama

Patent number: 7318153Abstract: A mark issuing server operated by a mark issuer manages mark information collectively. A terminal of a user sends an information providing request to an information providing server of an information provider, and issues a mark issuing request to the mark issuing server on the basis of the information providing request. The information providing server searches for information corresponding to the information providing request from the terminal of the user, and provides the terminal of the user with information including requested information and location information of the mark issuing server. The mark issuing server determines validity of information provided from the information providing server on the basis of the mark issuing request, and sends a mark to the terminal of the user when the validity is verified, and the terminal of the user displays the mark with the information provided from the information providing server.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2001Date of Patent: January 8, 2008Assignee: NTT Communications CorporationInventors: Tsuyoshi Shimizu, Hajime Sasaki, Takashi Matsumoto

Publication number: 20070172547Abstract: The present invention aims at preventing foodborne infections. As a candidate for this purpose, the inventors focused on antibacterial acidic liquid diets, which are acidic due to comprising fermented dairy products as protein source. The antibacterial activity of the acidic liquid diets was compared with the antibacterial activity of a neutral liquid diet and the fermented dairy product used as the basic ingredient. Antibacterial effect of fermented milk such as yogurt is already known. However, the acidic liquid diets unexpectedly exhibited an antibacterial effect higher than the basic ingredient (the fermented dairy product) against Gram-positive bacteria such as MRSA, which are important in terms of public health.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2005Publication date: July 26, 2007Inventors: Hisae Kume, Hajime Sasaki
