  • Publication number: 20050198514
Abstract: A data processing apparatus is provided which is capable of improving the responsiveness of communication in which only a maximum of one access request source has write authorization and the other access requests do not have write authorization when communication is performed with a plurality of access request sources. A management apparatus transmits, to a secure application module (SAM), a strong connection request requesting the obtainment of write authorization into the SAM. When it is determined that the strong connection has not already been assigned to the other management apparatuses, the SAM assigns the strong connection to the management apparatus in a state in which a weak connection having read authorization with the management apparatuses is maintained.

  • Patent number: 6184597
Abstract: A linear motor comprising prismatic inner yokes each constructed in a manner that a large number of sheets each having a generally rectangular configuration and having a high magnetic permeability are piled up each other and outer yokes each constructed in a manner that a number of sheets each having a generally rectangular configuration and having a high magnetic permeability are piled up each other. Each of coils is wound around a central portion of three magnetic pole portions of the outer yoke to alternately establish different magnetic poles along a direction of an axis of the linear motor. A surface of the outer yoke, holding the magnetic pole portions, is disposed in an opposed relation to the inner yoke to define a predetermined gap therebetween so that the inner yoke and the outer yoke form each of a plurality of yoke blocks. The yoke blocks are placed around the axis so that the sheet piling-up direction is perpendicular to a diametrical direction of a shaft.

  • Patent number: 5693218
Abstract: A base fixed to a liquid-containing tank and a float disposed above the base are liquid-tightly secured to lower and upper ends, respectively, of a flexible member comprising a bellows cylinder. The base, the float and the flexible member define a liquid reservoir. The float rises when there is a large quantity of liquid in the reservoir and falls when there is a small quantity of liquid in the reservoir, so that a damming plate provided on the float is moved above and below the surface of the liquid in the tank. When the damming plate is moved below the liquid surface, the liquid on the surface flows into the reservoir through a liquid inlet formed in the float, and the liquid that collects in the reservoir is discharged to the exterior of the tank by a liquid discharge pipe. As the float rises, the damming plate is lifted above the surface of the liquid in the tank, thereby cutting off the flow of surface liquid into the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 5587801
Abstract: In a digital copying apparatus, the digital image data of a document to be copied are stored in a memory means, and an image is copied on a paper according to the digital image data stored in the memory means. Two clear modes are provided for clearing the image data stored in the memory means. In the first clear mode, the data in the memory means is cleared when the document is detected to be removed from the platen and the like. In the second clear mode, the data in the memory means is cleared when a new document is detected to be set on the platen glass or the like. One of the two clear modes is selected with the operational panel and the selected mode is displayed. A memory clear command is sent to the memory means at an appropriate timing in the two clear modes, and the memory clear is executed by the memory means. The memory clear command is sent only after the copying operation is completed or it is inhibited to clear the image data when a latent image is being formed according to the image data.
