  • Patent number: 6431074
Abstract: Supplying a predetermined amount of electric energy to a fine metal wire 4 in a short time causes the fine metal wire 4 to melt and evaporate. Following this phenomenon, a blasting substance 10 expands in volume, so that the evaporative expansion force resulting from the melting evaporation of the fine metal wire 4 is transmitted to and blasts a to-be-blasted object 5.

  • Patent number: 6426474
Abstract: The invention provides a plastic sorting method and apparatus, which, when plastic pieces comprising a plurality of types of resin plastics are agitated and frictionally charged, are able to impart the plastic pieces a necessary amount of charge or polarity for the thorough separation even if the difference in the amount of the different types of plastic pieces is large and to increase the recovery rate. If the amount of a specified type plastic pieces (1) to be recovered is small, the agitation and the electrostatic separation is carried out after adding the specified type plastic pieces (1) as auxiliary frictional charging material (21) into the frictional charging device (3), and the auxiliary frictional charging material (21) remains in the frictional charging device (3) and is used repeatedly.

  • Patent number: 6349397
Abstract: The present invention provides a signal processing apparatus having at least a boundary scan chain for carrying out a boundary scan test, a CPU capable of being controlled by the boundary scan chain, a non-volatile memory for storing an operating program of the CPU and necessary data, and an input terminal for inputting data and other control signals from the outside to the boundary scan chain, a register for holding data transferred from the boundary scan chain and a memory for holding the data read from the register. During data rewriting, based on the control of the boundary scan chain, a rewriting program is input via the input terminal from a writing device to the boundary scan chain and then stored in the memory through the register, the CPU inputs rewriting data to write it into the non-volatile memory based on the control of the rewriting program stored in the memory.

  • Patent number: 6298785
Abstract: A thin metal wire 8 is fused and vaporized by a predetermined amount of electrical energy supplied to the thin metal wire 8 for a short period of time, whereby a blasting substance 3 is expanded in volume. Therefore, a vaporization expansion force caused by the fusion and vaporization of the thin metal wire 8 moves a shock delivering member 22, so that the shock delivering member 22, colliding with a to-be-blasted object H1, delivers a shock to the to-be-blasted object H1, thereby blasting the to-be-blasted object H1.

  • Patent number: 6283555
Abstract: A discharge breaking system and a discharge breaking method for breakage and decomposition of objects to be ruptured such as destruction of base rocks and breakage of stones into small pieces at building lands, breakage for finishing tunnels and destruction of concrete buildings. A discharge breaking system is configured to supply or discharge electric energy charged or accumulated in a capacitor between a pair of electrodes in a short time for abrupt vaporization of a breaking substance for transmitting a pressure, thereby breaking an object to be ruptured with an expansion force generated by the vaporization. The discharge breaking systems has a structure wherein an end portion of a sheath member which covers a pair of metal cores for composing a cable is cut off to expose ends of the metal cores, and the exposed ends of the metal cores are submerged in the breaking substance and used as electrodes.

  • Patent number: 6211464
Abstract: A grommet is provided for positively and easily mounting a longitudinally shaped member (e.g. a wire harness) in such a manner that the member is passed through a mounting plate such as a panel of a vehicle body. The grommet includes a second cylindrical portion connected through a connection portion to a first cylindrical portion for passing a wire harness therethrough. A groove, formed in an outer peripheral surface of the second cylindrical portion, and flange portions, formed between the groove and the connection portion, maintain the angle of projection of the flange portions with respect to the second cylindrical portion. The second cylindrical portion is turned inside out, so that the flange portions, deformed into a generally tapering, cylindrical shape, are passed through a mounting hole, and then the second cylindrical portion is restored into its initial shape, so that the grommet is located on the panel in a predetermined position.
