The print control device relatively moves the platen roller to the separation position during a non-print section of the fed paper passes through the print head, based on the non-print section data.

The recording-tape layer has a print-recording piece whose face serves as a printing region and a cut-off piece to be peeled off from the adhesive-agent layer. The print-recording piece is separated from the cut-off piece by a long-side cutting line formed in a longitudinal direction of the recording surface. By inverting both the recording-tape layer and the pseudo-laminating layer inside out for adhering to an object of adhesion after removing the cut-off piece, the pseudo-laminating layer serves as a laminate tape for the recording surface.

Character strings for the width direction printing are inputted and arrangement widths of respective lines of the character strings are set. Abstract: There are provided an image forming method and apparatus in which character string having one or more characters is registered as a regular character string, regular printing for printing the regular character string is instructed, irrespective of whether or not a character string other than the regular character string is being input or edited, and when regular printing is instructed, a regular character string image corresponding to the regular character string is printed as a print image. Irrespective of whether or not another character string is being edited, this construction enables the regular character string image of a registered regular character string to be printed at a desired time point through simple operations, while saving the capacity of the memory device.

Abstract: There is provided a tape printing apparatus in which characters to be printed on a recording face of a recording tape layer of a print tape are inputted, and a folding-line position of a pseudo-laminate layer of the print tape is defined.
