  • Patent number: 8521434
Abstract: A method of processing seismic data including pressure data and pressure gradient data to obtain gradients of moveout corrected pressure data, comprising applying a move-out correction function to the pressure gradient data; and adding a correction term dependent on a moveout corrected time-derivative of the pressure data and a spatial derivative of the moveout correction function. The method may be used prior to any data processing algorithm which uses pressure gradient data in which moveout correction is applied prior to the algorithm, either because the algorithm makes a zero offset assumption or because it is beneficial for the algorithm to operate on moveout corrected data to reduce aliasing.

  • Patent number: 8521437
Abstract: A method for spatially interpolating pressure values of seismic data uses known values of pressure and spatial derivatives of pressure at a plurality of irregularly spaced locations along the direction of interpolation. The interpolation preferably uses an interpolation operator calculated by assuming that an interpolated pressure value comprises a linear combination of the known pressure values at locations xi and the spatial derivatives at locations X?, with operator coefficients wi and w? respectively, and calculating the coefficients by minimizing an error function.

  • Publication number: 20130124060
Abstract: A hydraulic braking system for a vehicle incorporating a vehicle dynamics control system (VDCS) includes an electromechanically actuated brake master cylinder that hydraulic braking system detects a reduction in the brake pressure of the wheel brake device, caused due to intervention of the VDCS in the braking operation, and moves a piston of the brake master cylinder in a direction opposite to an actuating direction. This causes an additional flow of the brake fluid from a reservoir to one or more pressure chambers of the brake master cylinder, thus, avoiding the piston from reaching a stop condition, and hence, avoiding an inadequacy in the volume of the brake fluid available in the pressure chambers of the brake master cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20130112516
Abstract: An angle adjusting device for a brake block includes a brake block, a ball and a screw. The brake block has a socket and a through hole defined therein. The ball is rotatably disposed in the socket. The ball has a screw hole corresponding to the through hole. The screw is passed through the through hole of the brake block and is screwed into the screw hole of the ball so that the brake block is mountable on a brake system. The brake block could be pivotally rotated by a connection between the ball and the socket of the brake block, so that a frictional effect of the brake block which contacts with a wheel rim of a bicycle is increased.

  • Patent number: 8437218
Abstract: A method for predicting a plurality of surface multiples for a plurality of target traces in a record of seismic data acquired in a survey area. The method includes selecting a target trace and identifying two or more desired traces for multiple prediction based on the target trace. After identifying the desired traces, the method identifies one or more recorded traces for each desired trace. Each identified recorded trace is described as being substantially close to one of the desired traces. The method then includes correcting the identified recorded traces for one or more geometry-related effects associated with the survey area and convolving the corrected recorded traces to generate a plurality of convolutions. After convolving the corrected recorded traces, the method then stacks the convolutions.

  • Publication number: 20130066533
Abstract: A method for reducing the braking distance for a vehicle having an anti-lock braking mechanism (ABS) and a hydraulic braking system detects a brake pressure requested by the vehicle's driver (Prequested), and calculates the brakes pressure values at which the wheels of the vehicle lock. A maximum brake pressure value of these different brake pressure values is then compared with the driver's requested brake pressure value (Prequested). If the requested brake pressure value is much higher than the maximum brake pressure value, then the actual brake pressure applied at different wheels (Pactual) is set to a level below the requested brake pressure (Prequested), but still higher than the maximum brake pressure value. This reduces the amount of work required to be done by the ABS in pumping the excessive brake fluid out of the braking system of the vehicle, and allows for precise control of ABS mechanism during wheel slip conditions.

  • Patent number: 8395966
Abstract: A technique includes obtaining seismic data acquired by seismic sensors of a composite seismic signal that is produced by the firings of multiple seismic sources. The technique includes modeling the seismic data as being a function of models for the sources and linear operators and defining desired constraints on the models. The technique includes simultaneously determining the models based on the modeling and the desired constraints. The datasets are generated based on the determined models. Each dataset is indicative of a component of the composite seismic signal and is attributable to a different one of the seismic sources.

  • Publication number: 20130048446
Abstract: An adjustment device for hydraulic brake systems includes a hollow case and a retractable unit. The hollow case has a rotatable ring to control the retractable unit. One end of the hollow case is connected to a hydraulic hose, and another end is connected to a brake lever. When the user adjusts the rotatable ring, the retractable unit exerts one adjustable pressure on the hydraulic oil constantly so that the user can easily press the brake lever to slow down the vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20130048454
Abstract: A bicycle hydraulic brake clamp includes a clamp, two piston assemblies and a separation board. The clamp has a first slot defined on the middle thereof so that a brake disk is received therein. A second slot and a third slot are respectively defined in two sides of the clamp. A through hole is defined through the clamp and communicates with the third slot. The separation board is fixedly engaged with the through hole via the first slot by a way of welding. The two piston assemblies are respectively installed in the second and third slots via the first slot. The separation board is securely engaged with the through hole so as not only to prevent the separation board from dropping from the clamp by exterior impact, but also to protect the separation board from being damaged by the exterior impact.

  • Publication number: 20130025988
Abstract: A sealing device for hydraulic brake lever assembly includes a seat having an oil tank defined therein for receiving oil. The oil tank has a connecting hole defined therein. The oil tank is conically tapered toward the bottom thereof. An elastomer is sealingly received in the oil tank. The elastomer has an U-shaped portion formed therein for providing a resilient force. The elastomer has a movable portion formed therein. A piston assembly is received in the oil tank and connected to the elastomer for actuating the elastomer. At least one oil seal is sleeved on the driving shank for preventing oil leakage. When braking, the piston assembly actuates the U-shaped portion to deform. The movable portion is pushed to pressing oil into the connecting hole. When an oil pressure is decreased, the U-shaped portion restores. The movable portion is pulled backward by the resilient force.
