  • Patent number: 4779367
Abstract: A product identification tag is made of transparent plastic and takes the form of a planar card from which one or more integrally-formed support portions project. In one embodiment, the support portion is slotted to receive J-hook or peg hook portions so as to be suspended from the hook, whereby an attached pressure-sensitive adhesively backed label is visible. In another embodiment, the support portions are flexible anchor arms which can be folded out of the card plane, each arm including a distal end with wing-like projections that can be flexed to permit insertion of the wings in the peg board holes and unflexed so as to anchor against the back surface of the peg board. The tags are die-cut from plastic sheets, preferably with adjacent tag edges sharing common die-cuts in order to conserve material.

  • Patent number: 4754563
Abstract: Several embodiments of a product identification and display tag for use in connection with a product-suspending hook extending substantially horizontally from a support surface are disclosed. In each case the tag comprises first and second parts. The first part has a mounting portion for attachment to the hook adjacent the support surface, and an elongate portion extending from the mounting portion for overlying the hook. The second part of the tag comprises a display portion for hanging vertically at the forward end of the hook to receive a product information and identification label or the like. The second part of the tag is releasably attached to the first part by male and female connector elements so that when a label is to be replaced, the second part of the tag can be removed and replaced with another second part having a new label, thereby avoiding the need to replace the tag as a whole.

  • Patent number: 4713899
Abstract: A display element is disclosed which can be used for displaying product information forwardly of an apertured product display shelf and which can be used selectively as a price channel flag for securing in a price channel in a supermarket and the like. The element is formed from a blank of plastic sheet having rectangular display and attachment panels with a transverse fold line extending therebetween. The attachment panel has a slit which forms a depressable arrow-shaped head for secruing in an aperture of the shelf adjacent the forward edge. Sections of the attachment panel adjacent the head engage the upper surface of the shelf thereby precluding upward tilting of the element. The display panel is folded down in front of the shelf and can be provided with an information display card or label.
