  • Patent number: 9635956
Abstract: An accessory for an infant carrier. The accessory includes a padded sleeve that serves as an arm cushion. A canopy, stowable in the sleeve, can be fully or partly deployed to cover all or half of the carrier. The canopy has a central opening that permits the caregiver to insert her forearm under the handle when the canopy is deployed. The opening in the canopy also permits the caregiver to see inside the carrier under the deployed canopy and to reach inside with a bottle or toy for the baby. When the canopy is fully deployed, it covers the top and bottom half of the carrier with the handle spanning the central opening. In this position, the sleeve can be rotated on the handle to partially furl or unfurl either side of the canopy around the sleeve to open or close the opening over either half of the carrier.

  • Patent number: 9113718
Abstract: A reconfigurable support pillow comprising an elongate center section with a short, curved arm on each end. Between each of the arms and the center section is a substantially flat connecting section with inwardly curved side edges. This shape allows the pillow to be placed into several configurations. In a first configuration, the center section is bent and the connecting sections overlap each other without creating a thickened area at the point where the connecting sections cross. Additionally, the curved ends of the pillow arms can be overlapped providing an oval configuration with a double thickness at one side. Still further, the pillow can be used with the center section straight and curved arms turned inward towards each other. Each configuration provides different advantages and use. The pillow may comprise a washable cover with removable inserts.

  • Patent number: 8661587
Abstract: A generally C-shaped infant support pillow ideal for small, premature or disabled infants. The pillow comprises a center section with two curved arms. The arms may be the same length or one may be longer than the other. Preferably, the end of one arm is receivable in a recess formed in or near the end of the other arm, so that the pillow has an open and a closed position. The arms may have opposing, inwardly-extending bulges that divide the central well into a larger and a smaller secondary well. The inner perimeter of the center section may be elasticized to “hug” the infant. The pillow may include a strap that extends from one arm and attaches to the other. The strap can be stored in a pocket and then unfurled and removably connected to the other arm to hold the ends of the pillow together.

  • Patent number: 8661588
Abstract: A slip cover for a crib mattress. The slip cover preferably comprises a mattress cover with a zippered end through which the crib mattress is easily insertable. Attached to one end of the mattress cover is a bolster, which may comprise a bolster cover and a foam insert. In most applications, the bolster will be generally U-shaped and will comprise an inclined back section and two arms. The slip cover allows continued use of a crib mattress after it is no longer needed in a crib or toddler bed. When placed on a standard crib mattress, the slip cover with its attached bolster forms an ideal portable toddler bed. Alternately, the slip cover converts the mattress into a child-sized chaise lounge ideal for reading or watching television. Still further, the slip-covered mattress may be used as a pet bed, especially for a large breed dog or for multiple smaller dogs.
