  • Patent number: 8448275
Abstract: A pillow assembly with multiple configurations. The pillow assembly comprises a first elongate bolster pillow and a second pillow that is either a short cylindrical pillow or a wedge-shaped pillow. The two pillows are connected by an elastic panel, and the bolster pillow can be rolled up inside the elastic panel and snugged up to the side or end of the second pillow in a stowed position.

  • Patent number: 8419128
Abstract: An insert for positioning an infant in a car seat. The insert includes a head support section to support the baby's head on both sides. Connected to the head support section is a body support section with elongate side members connected by an elastic under-body support panel extending therebetween. This panel can be sewn to the side members or, even more preferably, can be attached by tubular sleeves that are slidably received on the side members of the body support section. In this way, the position of the panel can be adjusted along the length of the insert. Additionally, by rotating the side members, or the sleeves on the side members, the tension on the panel can be adjusted to increase or decease the tension, as desired, to create a swaddling effect under the infant. Alternately, the insert serves as an infant swing or carrier.

  • Patent number: 8146760
Abstract: A baby bottle comprising an asymmetrically divided lower portion continuous with a common upper portion that is attachable to a nipple assembly. The upper portion and lower portion together define a single, continuous fluid chamber. The upper portion includes an open top providing access to the fluid chamber. The lower portion comprises first and second side-by side tubular sections together defining a central opening between them and through the bottle. The central opening is sized to receive the hand of a nursing child so that each of the first and second tubular sections is alternately grippable by the child nursing from the bottle. The diameter of the first tubular section is greater than the diameter of the second tubular section so that the bottle is grippable by different sized hands, that is, by infants and toddlers of different ages and sizes.

  • Patent number: 8136186
Abstract: A multi-purpose pillow assembly. The assembly may comprise long short pillows with an underbody pad extending between them. A sleeve surrounds the long pillow and is attached to the side of the underbody pad opposite the short pillow. The sleeve can be rotated around the circumference of the long pillow and moved along its length, providing an assortment of possible configurations. Rotating the sleeve adjusts the distance between the long and short pillows for accommodating the girth of the user. The short pillow can be positioned on either side of the long pillow or on top of it. In another embodiment, the pillow assembly comprises a short pillow with an attached under body panel. In addition to its use as a support pillow for a user in a reclining position, this pillow assembly may serve as a back support pillow in a chair or other seat.

  • Patent number: 7926135
Abstract: A pillow for supporting a baby during bath time. The pillow comprises a compressible, shape-sustaining, C-shaped bolster with a center well sized to surround and “hug” the torso of a baby or toddler. A collapsible seat is attached to the bolster. The seat bottom is supported by a sidewall that is continuous with the inner sidewall of the bolster. In a first, extended position, the seat bottom is positioned a distance below the bottom of the bolster. This configuration is ideal for a baby or toddler in a seated position, allowing the child to sit upright inside the pillow's well. The seat may be configured in a second, collapsed position with the seat bottom forming a sling that extends across the well of the bolster. By flipping the pillow over, this configuration is ideal for supporting a small or newborn infant in a reclining position for bathing.

  • Patent number: 7878587
Abstract: A washable seat liner for use in high chairs and grocery carts. The liner comprises a bottom panel, a back panel, left and right side panels, and a front panel. A wide body belt is attached to the inside of the back panel that encircles the child's torso like a cummerbund helping to keep the child upright and centered. The body belt includes two overlapping straps with hook-and-loop fasteners. A secondary, child-resistant connector overlies the body belt and prevents the child from releasing the body belt. A crotch connecter on the front of the liner attaches to the crotch bar on the chair or cart. This prevents the bottom of the liner from being pulled up inadvertently when the child is lifted out of the seat. A back flap wraps around the back of the seat. Side flaps have convenient pockets, and a front flap doubles as a crumb catcher.

  • Patent number: 7793371
Abstract: This invention relates generally to a body pillow and support system. Due to the need for additional support, pregnant women often encounter difficulty sleeping. The support pregnant women typically need is not just for their head, but for their abdomen, back and/or legs. Many pregnant women find themselves hot or cold as well as hot on one part of their body and cold on a different part of their body. All of these conditions are usually met by the pregnant woman finding several pillows and stuffing those same pillows all around her when she is trying to get some rest. This invention also is useful for a diverse group of people who need soft support to rest or recuperate and is not limited to women who are pregnant.

  • Patent number: 7708342
Abstract: A body-conforming booster cushion seat having a malleable filler material so as to permit the cushion to conform to the body shape of a user when the user is seated thereon. The booster cushion seat includes a strap for securing the cushion to the chair, and the height of the cushion may be adjusted by adjusting the tension on the strap. The bottom of the cushion is provided with a textured base to prevent slipping when the textured base contacts a corresponding surface, and a safety belt is included to secure a juvenile user in place on the booster cushion seat.

  • Patent number: 7676871
Abstract: A pillow assembly with an elastic center panel and an adjustable girth. The pillow assembly comprises a C-shaped or ring-shaped pillow body and a pillow cover. The cover defines a continuous, generally tubular, ring-shaped enclosure sized to receive the pillow body. The pillow body defines a well, and the cover preferably includes a center panel that spans the well and forms a seat area. A cinch assembly on the front of the pillow cover allows the overall girth of the pillow assembly to be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 7562406
Abstract: A reconfigurable support pillow with tandem wells, each sized for receiving an infant or toddler. The pillow comprises a center section and two curved arms. Each arm is generally C-shaped having a first end continuous with one end of the center section, a free end, and an elbow section therebetween. In its resting position, the pillow is characterized by two separate but adjacent wells. A first connector is attached to outer aspect of the elbow section of one arm, and a second connector is attached to the outer aspect of the elbow of the second arm. The pillow can be twisted into a spiral configuration or, alternately, can be folded into a two-tiered C-shaped configuration. The pillow is held in the desired configuration by attaching the connectors to each other. The pillow can also serve as a combination nursing pillow and therapeutic seat cushion.

  • Patent number: 7513001
Abstract: A multi-purpose pillow with attached blanket. The pillow comprises a body with one or more inwardly-turned arms. One edge of the blanket is attached to the pillow, and a pouch is formed in the pillow so that blanket is stowable inside. A pocket may be included for holding an MP3 player or other accessory. A flap wraps around the body to cover the pouch opening and the accessory pocket when the blanket is stowed. In its preferred embodiment, the pillow provides a convenient infant support pillow with a blanket that may be deployed beneath the pillow to provide a clean playing, napping or changing area or to spread over or wrap around the infant. This pillow also is a handy travel pillow for toddlers through adults, one of the arms serving as a head and neck cushion, while the body supports an MP3 player in a convenient position.
