  • Publication number: 20200186859
Abstract: Embodiments include processes for media object rendering, including the steps of providing a plurality of clients, the clients including a media client and the clients in communication with a synchronization client, the clients defining a synchronization group. The media clients include instructions for receiving media object content over a network from a content server, rendering the media object content, and random access to the media object content in response to synchronization client seek time instructions. The synchronization client includes instructions to calculate a relative lag and provide seek time instructions to the media clients for a media object being rendered, the relative lag being a running measurement of its offset relative to the synchronization server's clock. The synchronization client periodically queries the clock of a synchronization server.

  • Publication number: 20200160720
Abstract: A vehicle location tracking system comprises a plurality of transceivers, a coordinator, and a plurality of identification tags. The plurality of identification tags are coupled to a fleet of vehicles to be tracked. The transceivers measure the strength of a signal emitted by an identification tag coupled to a vehicle and communicate the measured signal strength to the coordinator. The indoor vehicle location tracking system estimates the location of the vehicle based on the measured signal strength.

Abstract: In one aspect, a system for monitoring the frame levelness of an agricultural implement include first and second sensors configured to capture data indicative of a position differential defined between a soil surface and a portion of an a first and second ground engaging tool positioned below the soil surface, respectively. The captured data may be associated at least partially with the receipt of sensor signals reflected off of the portion of the associated ground engaging tool positioned below the soil surface. The system may also include a controller configured to determine penetration depths of the first and second ground engaging tools based on the captured data received from the first and second sensors, respectively. The controller may also be configured to monitor the frame levelness based on a penetration depth differential defined between the first and second penetration depths.

  • Publication number: 20190394246
Abstract: A gateway is configured to be situated in a local area network (LAN) of Internet Protocol (IP)-based units having a serverless page party (SP2) function that employs multicast technology for page/party audio. The gateway converts multicast call traffic to unicast call traffic for transmission over the Internet to one or more IP units with SP2 function in different LANs. These different LANs are each provided with respective gateways that are configured to convert the unicast traffic back to multicast traffic to connect the page/party audio of an SP2 system among disparate facilities having different LANs, obviating the need for a dedicated and expensive wide area network for inter-LAN communication among IP units with SP2 function. A license and configuration server is configured to maintain a database of IP addresses of each gateway assigned to the respective inter-LAN or Internet groups and to communicate group IP addresses to the gateways.

  • Publication number: 20190290865
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an apparatus for delivering an anesthetic agent to a target tissue in a nasal cavity of a patient. The apparatus includes an elongated shaft with a proximal end and a distal end. The apparatus also includes an absorbent plug coupled to the distal end of the elongated shaft. The absorbent plug is configured to occupy a first volume in a compressed state and a second volume in an uncompressed state. The absorbent plug is configured to store an anesthetic agent and deliver the anesthetic agent to the target tissue in the nasal cavity by contacting the target tissue. The apparatus also includes a sheath at least partially covering the absorbent plug. The sheath retains the absorbent plug in the compressed state when positioned at least partially over the absorbent plug, and removal of the sheath allows for the absorbent plug to expand to the uncompressed state.

  • Publication number: 20180344411
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for treating and monitoring conditions such as rhinitis are disclosed herein. The technology utilizes ultrasound scans to identify target treatment sites, and monitor the treatment of a patient undergoing a treatment. The treatment may be an ablation treatment of a nasal nerve, for example the PNN for the treatment of nasal conditions, such as rhinitis. The ultrasound scans are performed within the nasal cavity with an ultrasound probe or a combined ultrasound and ablation probe and may use Doppler, A-mode, B-mode, M-mode or other ultrasound and non-ultrasound modalities to detect and monitor the target treatment sites.

  • Patent number: 10121294
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer program product that intentionally illuminate at least one target item with electromagnetic energy having specific characteristics (e.g., frequency, power, waveform, directionality, duration, etc.). The target item, which may be an unpowered data storage device or secure document, acts as a non-linear mixer and is forced to emit radiative signals containing information about the target item's state and physical characteristics. Embodiments receive the forced emissions, extract useful data, and analyze the data to determine target item characteristics (e.g., a target item type, based on a comparison of data from known types). Embodiments control the illumination so the forced emissions radiate from an enclosure without interfering with tactical communications, and so that stored target item data is not affected. Embodiments can locate a hidden target item via the strength and directionality of the forced emissions.

  • Publication number: 20180125560
Abstract: The invention disclosed here generally relates to devices that can modify a property of a nerve. Specifically, the subject invention is contemplated to modify the posterior nasal nerve signal conduction in such a way so as to reduce the signals transmitted to the nasal cavity. Reduction or interruption of the nerve signals results in the reduction of the distal organ activity. In particular, embodiments of the present invention allow for increased lateral contact or apposition of the target tissue region having at least one posterior nasal nerve with the end effector surface by lateral and/or longitudinal translation of the end effector relative to the surgical probe shaft. This improved lateral surface contact has several benefits, including improved patient outcomes and patient safety as the end effector is adequately in contact with target tissue for subsequent ablation therapy.
