    Abstract: This disclosure relates to digital image segmentation and region of interest identification. A computer implemented image segmentation method and system are particularly disclosed, including a predictive model trained based on a deep fully convolutional neural network. The model is trained using a loss function in at least one intermediate layer in addition to a loss function at the final stage of the full convolutional neural network. The predictive segmentation model trained in such a manner requires less training parameters and facilitates quicker and more accurate identification of relevant local and global features in the input image. In one implementation, the fully convolutional neural network is further supplemented with a conditional adversarial neural networks iteratively trained with the fully convolutional neural network as a discriminator measuring the quality of the predictive model generated by the fully convolutional neural network.

    Abstract: A method for determining a macroblock (MB) coding mode for a current MB in a dependent view. A window around a co-located MB in a base view is determined, wherein the co-located MB is a MB in the base view having a same location as the current MB in the dependent view. A coding mode complexity value (CMCV) is determined for each MB in the window, wherein the CMCV is based on a coding mode used to encode the MB. Rate distortion optimization (RDO) is performed for the current MB using a reduced number of coding modes if a total CMCV for all MBs in the window is less than a threshold, or using all supported coding modes if the total CMCV for all MBs in the window is greater than the threshold. A coding mode for the current MB is determined based on the RDO results.

The method includes first, combining, by a controller, a code and a label value that are corresponding to a tunnel type supported by a next-hop switch, generating an OXM_OF_TUNNEL_ID match field, and sending a forwarding policy that carries the OXM_OF_TUNNEL_ID match field to a previous-hop OPENFLOW switch, then, extracting, by the previous-hop OPENFLOW switch, the code and the label value that are corresponding to the tunnel type, and encapsulating a data packet according to the code and the label value that are corresponding to the tunnel type, finally, sending, by the previous-hop OPENFLOW switch, the encapsulated data packet to the next-hop switch. The embodiments of the present disclosure are applicable to data packet forwarding in a hybrid networking environment of an OPENFLOW switch and a conventional switch.

    Abstract: A network flow information collection method and apparatus. A switching device receives a data packet, and collects network flow information of the data packet according to all flow entries when the data packet passes from an ingress port to an egress port in the switching device. All flow entries when a same network flow data packet passes from the ingress port to the egress port in the switching device are the same, and all flow entries when different network flow data packets pass from the ingress port to the egress port in the switching device are different. That is, all the flow entries passed from the ingress port to the egress port can uniquely identify one network flow. Therefore, each piece of the network flow information forwarded by the switching device can be accurately collected, improving accuracy of collecting network flow information by the switching device.
