  • Patent number: 11862153
Abstract: An audio controlled assistant captures environmental noise and converts the environmental noise into audio signals. The audio signals are provided to a system which analyzes the audio signals for a plurality of audio prompts, which have been customized for the acoustic environment surrounding the audio controlled assistant by an acoustic modeling system. The system configured to detect the presence of an audio prompt in the audio signals and transmit instructions associated with the detected audio prompt to at least one of the audio controlled assistant or one or more cloud based services, in response.

  • Patent number: 11858800
Abstract: A fluid exchanger may exchange a fluid (e.g., coolant) in a reservoir (e.g., vehicle radiator) by removing or withdrawing a first fluid (e.g., old, spent, used, etc.) and by introducing a second fluid (e.g., new, clean, etc.). For example, the fluid exchanger may use a negative pressure, suction, or vacuum to draw the first fluid from the reservoir, and subsequently, the second fluid may be transferred into the reservoir using a negative pressure held in the reservoir, a positive pressure applied to the second fluid, or a combination thereof. The fluid exchanger may also include a multi-purpose, hand-held nozzle that can change an operation of the fluid exchanger from a withdrawing mode to a dispensing mode.

  • Publication number: 20230420234
Abstract: Systems and methods for image and/or video processing of mass spectrometry data comprise a processor in communication with a storage device, and computer system code executed by the processor that causes the processor to perform an image or video analysis comparison between a second data plot image or video to a first data plot image or video, and generate a delta dataset based on the comparison. The delta dataset is representative of the differences between the first and second data plots. In additional systems and methods the computer system code can perform an image or video analysis comparison between the first and second data plots and a reference data plot, generate first and second delta datasets based on the comparisons, which are representative of the differences between the first and second data plots and the reference data plot, and perform a statistical analysis on the first and second delta datasets.

  • Publication number: 20230414670
Abstract: Described herein are tissue grafts derived from the placenta. The grafts are composed of at least one layer of amnion tissue where the epithelium layer has been substantially removed in order to expose the basement layer to host cells. By removing the epithelium layer, cells from the host can more readily interact with the cell-adhesion bio-active factors located onto top and within of the basement membrane. Also described herein are methods for making and using the tissue grafts. The laminin structure of amnion tissue is nearly identical to that of native human tissue such as, for example, oral mucosa tissue. This includes high level of laminin-5, a cell adhesion bio-active factor show to bind gingival epithelia-cells, found throughout upper portions of the basement membrane.

  • Patent number: 11840891
Abstract: Cutting elements include a carbonate diamond-bonded body that is sintered under HPHT conditions in the presence of a carbonate material, where the body includes a matrix phase of intercrystalline bonded diamond with interstitial regions including the carbonate material, where the diamond-bonded body is sintered without a substrate. A matrix casting is formed and mechanically coupled to the body after the body is sintered, and a portion of the body surface is exposed along a surface of the matrix casting. The exposed body surface is thereafter intentionally treated to induce a compressive residual surface stress that is greater than a remaining portion of the body. The compressive residual surface stress is less than about 500 MPa, and from about 100 to 500 MPa, and a remaining region the body may have a residual stress of less than about 300 MPa, and less than about 100 MPa.

  • Patent number: 11828108
Abstract: A cutting element includes a substrate that is axially symmetric about a central axis. The substrate has a radius perpendicular to the central axis and that extends from the central axis to an outer surface of the substrate. A super-hard material is coupled to the substrate, and the central axis passes through the super-hard material. The super-hard material has an external surface defining at least one ridge protruding from a remainder of the external surface. A central point on the central axis is offset from the external surface of the super-hard material by a distance equal to the radius of the substrate. A distance measured from the external surface of the super-hard material to the central point is greatest at a position between 25° and 45° from the central axis of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 11814134
Abstract: A pivoting crank arm apparatus that increases the user's torque. The pivoting of the crank arms further allows the user to quickly move the pedals out of the dead zones at the top dead center and bottom dead center of the crank cycle. This prevents the user from stalling in these dead zones while climbing hills and other high torque or slow pedal speed situations. The pivoting crank arm apparatus is comprised of a set of crank arms attached by a spindle. Each crank arm is further comprised of a pivot arm with a pedal. The pivot arm being pivotally attached to the crank arm and configured to allow for the pivoting action of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 11752867
Abstract: Revving an engine may be helpful in various contexts, such as when servicing the vehicle. For example, in some types of services, a cleaning agent may be introduced into the intake and surrounding regions of an engine, and the engine may be revved to reduce a likelihood that the cleaning agent might puddle. In some instances, a device can be positioned within a vehicle interior and can be used to automatically rev the vehicle engine by depressing on the vehicle throttle. In other examples, an engine revving device may send a signal to an electronic-controlled throttle actuator.
