  • Publication number: 20230201419
Abstract: A method for preparing placenta membrane tissue grafts for medical use, includes obtaining a placenta from a subject, cleaning the placenta, separating the chorion tissue from the amniotic membrane, mounting a selected layer of either the chorion tissue or the amniotic membrane onto a drying fixture, dehydrating the selected layer on the drying fixture, and cutting the selected layer into a plurality of tissue grafts. Preferably, the drying fixture includes grooves or raised edges that define the outer contours of each desired tissue graft, after they are cut, and further includes raised or indented logos that emboss the middle area of the tissue grafts during dehydration and that enables an end user to distinguish the top from the bottom side of the graft. The grafts are comprised of single layers of amnion or chorion, multiple layers of amnion or chorion, or multiple layers of a combination of amnion and chorion.

  • Publication number: 20230202826
Abstract: A fluid exchanger may exchange a fluid (e.g., coolant) in a reservoir (e.g., vehicle radiator) by removing or withdrawing a first fluid (e.g., old, spent, used, etc.) and by introducing a second fluid (e.g., new, clean, etc.). For example, the fluid exchanger may use a negative pressure, suction, or vacuum to draw the first fluid from the reservoir, and subsequently, the second fluid may be transferred into the reservoir using a negative pressure held in the reservoir, a positive pressure applied to the second fluid, or a combination thereof. The fluid exchanger may also include a multi-purpose, hand-held nozzle that can change an operation of the fluid exchanger from a withdrawing mode to a dispensing mode.

  • Publication number: 20230192229
Abstract: The present invention is a pivoting crank arm apparatus that increases the user's torque. The pivoting of the crank arms further allows the user to quickly move the pedals out of the dead zones at the top dead center and bottom dead center of the crank cycle. This prevents the user from stalling in these dead zones while climbing hills and other high torque or slow pedal speed situations. The present invention is comprised of a set of crank arms attached by a spindle. Each crank arm is further comprised of a pivot arm with a pedal. The pivot arm being pivotally attached to the crank arm and configured to allow for the pivoting action of the present invention.

The first and the second surfaces define a first ion channel therebetween. The first ion channel extends along a first direction. The second surface includes a first plurality of electrodes including a first electrode and a second electrode spaced apart from the first electrode along a second direction lateral to the first direction. The first plurality of electrodes extends along the first direction. The first electrode is configured to receive a first voltage signal and generate at least a portion of a pseudopotential that inhibits ions in the first ion channel from approaching the second surface. The second plurality of electrodes is located between the first electrode and the second electrode and arranged along the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20230111515
Abstract: In providing USB communication functionality over a non-USB-compliant extension medium, increased latency and processing delays may be introduced, including during configuration of endpoints. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, an upstream facing port device (UFP device) and a downstream facing port device (DFP device) are used to extend USB communication across an extension medium. In some embodiments, the UFP device extracts information from packets sent between a host device and a USB device during configuration of an endpoint. In some embodiments, the UFP device sends a synthetic NRDY packet to the host device in response to a STATUS Transaction Packet to provide the UFP device and DFP device additional time to complete configuration for servicing the endpoint.
