  • Patent number: 11680170
Abstract: An emulsion composition includes an acrylic polymer, a metal silicate, and water. Advantageously, the emulsion composition provides coatings with superior adhesion of coatings to a concrete, clay, or ceramic substrate. In particular, the emulsion composition provides improved adhesion of the silicate primer to the concrete, clay, or ceramic substrate and strong cohesion between the primer and top coat paint allow for a much better overall performance. A method for applying the emulsion composition is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11675108
Abstract: An optical element (200), has a first surface configured to convey light, a second surface configured to convey light, an optical path between the first surface and the second surface, a filter coating (230) applied to the first surface, and a colour corrected anti-reflection (AR) coating (240) with colour correcting and antireflection characteristics applied to the second surface. The AR coating is configured according to an antireflective function to maximise photopic transmission and/or, integrated visual photopic transmission (IVPT) of the optical path. The second surface is disposed opposite the first surface, and the antireflective function is determined according to a daylight emission a I(?), a transmission spectrum of the antireflection/colour corrective coating T(?) and a thickness a d(?), of the film for a specified wavelength.

  • Publication number: 20230176857
Abstract: An Internet of Things (IoT) device is deployed with embedded software that may comprise multiple components. After deployment, updated versions of one or more components of the embedded software may become available. The IoT device maintains a manifest of the installed components. Periodically, the IoT device requests an updated copy of the manifest from an upgrade server. The installed manifest and the updated manifest are compared to determine if updated versions of any components are available. If so, the IoT device requests only the components to be updated. Prior to beginning the copying of the upgraded components, an upgrade flag is set. The IoT device then begins copying the received components into memory, replaces the manifest with the updated manifest, and clears the upgrade flag.

  • Patent number: 11647061
Abstract: A system for collaboratively generating and/or managing a media channel is provided. The system includes an identification component, a generation component and a permissions component. The identification component identifies a first set of media content associated with a first social group and a second set of media content associated with a second social group. The generation component generates a media channel based on the first and second sets of media content identified as being respectively associated with the first and second social groups. The permissions component grants access to the media channel based at least on permissions generated for the first and second sets of media content in connection with the respective first and second social groups.

  • Patent number: 11644531
Abstract: An ad hoc approach denoted as devoid clutter capture and filling (DeCCaF) that addresses the nonstationarity effects that arise when input radar waveform returns exhibiting dynamic spectra variations are processed to combat dynamic RFI is disclosed. Portions of the spectra of each input waveform return of a set of input radar waveform returns processed during the CPI may be filled with clutter information borrowed from other waveform returns of the set of waveform returns. DeCCaF may combined with an appropriate filter (e.g., a matched filter, a mismatched filter) to achieve results that are nearly indistinguishable from input radar waveform returns in which no spectral variation are present.

  • Publication number: 20230120825
Abstract: This application provides methods and systems for paternity determination. In some embodiments, the method is a non-invasive prenatal paternity determination method, which comprises obtaining genotypes for one or more polymorphic nucleic acid targets in a genomic DNA sample obtained from an alleged father, isolating cell-free nucleic acids from a biological sample obtained from the pregnant mother comprising fetal nucleic acids. The amount of each allele of one or more polymorphic nucleic acid targets in cell-free nucleic acids are determined and informative polymorphic nucleic acid targets are identified. Next, the allele frequency of each allele of the selected informative polymorphic nucleic acid targets is measured and fetal genotypes for each selected informative polymorphic nucleic acid targets are determined based on the allele frequency. Finally, the paternity status of the fetus are determined based on the genotypes of the mother, alleged father and the fetus for the informative nucleic acid targets.

  • Patent number: 11580651
Abstract: An image fusion system provides a predicted alignment between images of different modalities and synchronization of the alignment, once acquired. A spatial tracker detects and tracks a position and orientation of an imaging device within an environment. A predicted pose of an anatomical feature can be determined, based on previously acquired image data, with respect to a desired position and orientation of the imaging device. When the imaging device is moved into the desired position and orientation, a relationship is established between the pose of the anatomical feature in the image data and the pose of the anatomical feature imaged by the imaging device. Based on tracking information provided by the spatial tracker, the relationship is maintained even when the imaging device moves to various positions during a procedure.

  • Patent number: 11549853
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for measuring the location, the amplitude, and/or the direction of forces applied to a walking or running surface. An example system includes a pressure-sensitive sheet that extends along a first axis. The pressure-sensitive sheet includes a top surface and a bottom surface. A vertical force applied at a location along at least one of the top surface or the bottom surface forms an electrical path between the top surface and the bottom surface having a resistance, rf, that is inversely proportional to an amplitude of the vertical force. The system further includes read out circuitry configured to provide information indicative of the amplitude of the vertical force and the location of the vertical force along the first axis of the pressure-sensitive sheet.
