A rights object acquisition method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes transmitting a rights object request message requesting one or more rights objects of content objects from a mobile terminal to a rights issuer; creating, at the rights issuer, a rights object response message containing at least one of rights objects indicated by the rights object request message and at least one signature in response to the rights object request message; and transmitting the rights object response message from the rights issuer to the mobile terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for sharing a DRM file between portable terminals. The method includes selecting a DRM file stored in a memory by a transmitting terminal, extracting license information from the DRM file by the transmitting terminal, transmitting the license information to a receiving terminal by the transmitting terminal, checking if the receiving terminal acquires a license by the transmitting terminal, externally receiving the DRM file corresponding to the license by the receiving terminal, and reproducing the DRM file in synchronization with the receiving terminal by the transmitting terminal.

A multi-screen display apparatus for a digital broadcast receiver of the present invention includes a broadcast reception unit for receiving broadcast data of a primary service channel and at least one secondary service channel; a decoding unit comprising a video decoder for decoding video data of all types of video frame of the primary service channel and a predetermined type of video frame of the secondary service channel and an audio decoder for decoding audio data of a predetermined service channel, by time frame; a multiplexed screen processing unit for multiplexing the video data of the primary service channel and the at least one secondary service channel output by the decoding unit; a display unit for displaying the multiplexed video data in the form of multiplexed screen image; and a speaker unit for outputting the decoded audio data in the form of an audible sound wave.

Abstract: A method and system for displaying digital broadcast signals are disclosed. The method displays a broadcast signal, transmitted from a portable terminal having a digital broadcast receiver, on an external device having a decoding unit. When the external device transmits a digital broadcast playback request and selected channel information, the portable terminal controls the digital broadcast receiver to select a broadcast channel according to the selected channel information, demultiplexes a broadcast signal of the selected broadcast channel, and transmits the demodulated broadcast signal. The external device classifies the demodulated broadcast signal as audio, video, and broadcast information, decodes the classified signals and plays them back.

Abstract: A fast channel switching method and apparatus for a digital broadcast receiver having a single tuner are disclosed. The fast channel switching method includes setting an ongoing service channel and at least one standby service channel, buffering broadcast data received through the ongoing and standby service channels, outputting the buffered broadcast data of the ongoing service channel, determining whether the ongoing service channel is switched to one of the standby service channels, outputting, if the ongoing service channel is switched to one of the standby service channels, the buffered broadcast data of the switched standby service channel and resetting the ongoing and standby service channels.

A method for executing an audio file including at least one track associated with a cover image includes displaying a first cover image associated with a track that is playing and displaying a first track list on the first cover image in response to a first key input signal, the first track list listing tracks associated with the first cover image. The portable device implemented with the file execution method and system of the present invention enables a track list to be displayed together with a cover image shared by a set of tracks listed on the track list, thereby expediting execution of files.

A buffer buffers input packet data. Processors are parallel connected to the buffer. A packet header processor checks a packet header, identifies the presence of adaptation information, and generates a control signal according to the presence of the adaptation information. An adaptation information processor processes the adaptation information of buffered payload data under control of the packet header processor. A Packetized Elementary Stream (PES) header processor processes a PES header of the buffered payload data under the control of the packet header processor. A data processor generates an audio or video Elementary Stream (ES) from audio or video data of the buffered payload data under control of the PES header processor, and outputs the generated audio or video ES to an associated decoder.
